NewBlue
9th on the away table. Unbeaten. 23rd on the home table. 6 points out of 27. I'd be tempted to say it's that negative tactics suit away fixtures, but we're second only to Crewe for goals conceded at home. If tactics are so negative, how are we conceding so many? Anybody else got a clue? (Except the 1% theory)
deyres42
The containment gameplan lends itself to better away results.
Blu-Blood
Negative tactics from the start of every game. It doesn't exactly give the fans optimism. Everything about us is so slow and predictable that teams can happily let us have possession knowing we have no idea what to do with it. It's the same stuff, year on year! bluear
A formation with Dummigan at right wing, he'd be awesome

Frankly Mr Shankly
Because they're all delicate flowers that don't have the mental strength to overcome a few people groaning when they do a dickhead thing like try to pass back to the goalkeeper from the halfway :censored:ing line. deyres42
So it's more doom and gloom at home in other words? Depends if you take the mindset that every home defeat is a cause for meltdown.

That's 3 things he has over philiskirk who is never a right winger/midfielder in a million years
HarryBosch
This is one of the few away fixtures in League One where teams can come and have a go in the knowledge there won't be much coming back the other way... Who wouldn't?
palmer1
We have not once taken a game to the opposition this season home or away. Sitting in & picking teams off away from home although we struggle to do that hence 225 draws. The same tactics at home where the visitors are likley to set up in a similar fashion makes for no entertainment, lack of home goals and losses to well organised sides. Simply put. It's the management who are afraid to lose so won't set up any other way!
Magister
Why are we so poor at home? Is it not just possible that our poor home form is actually an accurate representation of our ability?

I didn't hear no abuse to the players from the north stand, all I can put in down to is a set of pussys an :censored: 4-5-1 tactics to a a team who have lost 8 in a row and got turned over by altringham!!! mainstandmoaner
We have a football player picking the team not a manager Barnsley have lost 9 on the trot. And we play one up front at home

BP1960
It's not about pussies/lack of desire/commitment, we just don't have any good players. It's a fact we were second to the ball for most of the game today (apart from Kelly), and that's not uncommon.
NewBlue
It's not about pussies/lack of desire/commitment, we just don't have any good players. If that was true, which I don't think it is, how does that explain Barnsley, who have clearly got a side full of better players than ours, being below us in the table? HarryBosch
Why are we so poor at home? Is it not just possible that our poor home form is actually an accurate representation of our ability? No, when we have a go we look alright. Instead we try and drain the life out of every match, the opposition and everybody in the ground to secure a clean sheet and hopefully pick them off with one goal. This we're not very good at. If we had a go all the time we'd be comfortably mid table at worst and maybe, just maybe, threatening to get promoted. We'd also have more paying supporters the proceeds from whom could be spent on better players in January and beyond...
bluear
When will people realise, doesn't matter our players aren't the best but when you've got some :censored:ing bellend who couldn't motivate a fat kid to eat cake, then you're :censored:ed
HarryBosch
I agree when we have a go we look alright but then we're liable to get hit on the break like we did for their winning goal today (well the free kick which led up to the winning goal anyway...) Do you see what you did there?

BP1960
The shot stats suggest that they are not quite as bad as the league table says. I mentioned they had 16 shots at goal last week and played well although losing, they will climb above us table in the table sad to say.
