Shez and Liam Kelly LaticsPlayer interviews

Recommended Posts

Kelly seemed a bit tetchy eh?

Gordon informs him midfielders towards the top of the table already have 8 to 12 goals and asks Kelly if we're going to see him scoring.

Kelly gives him a ":censored: off" look and says "It's hard when you're playing in front of the back four but we'll see"...

Was that a defensive (no pun intended) reaction to Gordon putting him on the spot or a pop at the previous managers tactics & instructions.....?

Also, good to see Shez reads my :censored:e and takes it on board when he talks about playing 20 yards further forward...

Also, he said they'll be changing at the ground before and after training from hereon in rather than at (I assume) Chapel Rd so they're around the club & the other staff more - makes sense.

He mentioned where they eat aswell so it might be back on their knees.

Alternatively - this could all be him spinning being told to sell Dunn's portakabins if he wants to sign anyone

Got to say being back at the club more is a good idea.

Can't understand being based away. Plus more choice for lunch...

I thought they ate on their knees at Chapel Road.

Surely it makes more sense to get changed where they train? So they are planning on leaving home in leisure wear, driving to BP, getting changed there then driving to Chapel Rd, training, then in their muddy training kit getting back in their cars or a minibus, going to BP to get showered and changed and this is an improvement? Have I got the wrong end of the stick?

I think it's the detachment from the ground and the club and the staff - even fans knocking about for tickets etc...

It was talked about in the context of home games feeling like away games. Being more familiar and comfortable around the place might help...

Not to mention having to look other staff in the eye day in, day out and maybe giving half a :censored:....

Maybe they're going to begin training at Little Wembley again part of the week?

I also liked Shez's comment about getting more superstitious as he's got older and hinting at a possible change in dugouts.

I sit in the Chaddy End side of the main stand paddock and the swap over to away team has pissed me off no end. I've never seen a bench of players enjoy themselves so much!
