parigby
I know it's all a bit frantic, nail biting etc, etc,.......... but, even if the worst comes to the worst, at least next season ( no matter the division ) we all know we have a more than decent Manager, one we can trust, one that knows what he is doing, one that can get the best out of his players, one that we know who has the club at heart. Which is why most are pretty relaxed about what happens from here on in, before Shez arrived we were finished, anything else is a bonus. I have said it before but he's the only person in the hierarchy that gives a genuine impression of caring about this club...he's given us a sense of identity again
Guest nonaenever
will support him whatever the outcome this season - a great and genuine fella with real passion who actually cares - very rare in this day and age. If we had appointed him instead of Dunn (ce) we wouldn't be in this mess now (and Kelly of course)

ddot_m
I agree with this - we've gone from Frank Drebin of Police squad as a manager to John McClaine shooting our opponents in a tower block... And we've definitely taken 1 German down, albeit our own. Odds against us but Yippee Kay Aye Mother f**ker Edited April 3, 2016 by ddot_m
L1onheartNew
If said German comes back as a wizard when he signs for us, we will get a good seven seasons out of him

losesome
Which makes it even more baffling as to why we didn't get him last year when he was free!!! Edited April 9, 2016 by losesome

NewBlue
Come out in the paper today saying he won't be celebrating if we stay up. And people say he's not good with the media... Just what you want to hear.

thetramfixer
Come out in the paper today saying he won't be celebrating if we stay up. And people say he's not good with the media... Just what you want to hear. I would consider it a relief .. not a success if it were to happen! But allied with the thread on behaving at games, this season in a whole isn't worthy of celebrating and certainly isn't worthy of a pitch invasion that comes with celebrations like promotion and the like. Scapegoat
Interesting. Not celebrating on one hand shows a hard nosed assessment of what he thinks we should be achieving.... But, I'd say given the form in the last 15 games is something that would warrant a bit of acknowledgment.

I would say, given his starting point, the Shez mini-season has been more successful than a play off finish over a complete season.
Scapegoat
16 games in charge and JS has achieved 26 points at a ratio of 1.625 points per game. In that time we have scored 14, conceding 12. In comparison in the 24 games before that DK/DD achieved 21 points at a ratio of 0.875 points per game. Extrapolating those to a full season and we have: JS: 75 points and a +11 GD DK/DD: 40 points and a -23 GD JS over a full season probably would miss out on the play-offs, just. For example, pro rata the form over the 40 games so far and we'd be on 65 points now and a +10 GD - 7th spot, 3 points off 6th. A remarkable turnaround and would represent our best points total since......oh wait. Since the last time JS was in charge of us ;-) Telling is the goals for statistic though. Actually dropped a little, which is OK for now, but if you want bums on seats at BP we need to entertain as well as win.
