Sheridan - Every vacant managerial post?

Stop panicking everyone, Sheridan is going nowhere...... Certainly not to one club teetering on the edge of administration without a pot to piss in and another run by a lunatic dictator.

I'm relieved to have got that assurance in writing. :chubb:

Yep. Why go out for steak when you have steak at home? Or something like that.

Sideways moves are always questionable....?

His odds for the Leeds job are now 1-6.

Sounds like there is something in this rumour.

Will be interesting to hear if anyone going to the awards do tonight hears anything.

We could be in for a long summer.

Shez, we rescued you from Newport County. Don't forget that.

I'll lose some respect if Shez goes so soon, but I'll lose a whole lot more if he goes to Leeds with their current owner.

Fair enough with a reasonable owner, but not the current idiot.

That's right, "rescued". Not like we weren't in the :censored: or anything. Don't forget just how loyal we've been like last time around or a few months ago when you were available but we decided to do some mushrooms and take another direction. ffs.

of course we were in the :censored:. But Newport were fighting relegation to the Conference and deeper in the :censored:. He also was falling out with the staff about the state of their pitch. So he was in a battle to avoid dropping into non league with dissent ringing in his ears. Like it or not, that is a worse position than we were in.

There was hardly a murmur when he went last time, the vast majority thought it time to go, and he clearly said himself he had learned a lot since then.

The formula a la Johnson was clear to see. Just the lack of nous in interviewing with Kelly.

Whether we were in the :censored: or not, we still rescued him.

There is nothing in the betting markets from championship down. The odds mean nothing. If he had been approached Oldham would have released a statement. Wouldn't be worrying but if he did go wouldn't begrudge him going to the championship

1/6 and you don't think there's anything in it? That's either a huge bet or two (not having that a small bet for a decent sized club's manager would influence the market that much) or there's a rumour that Sky Bet would consider to be a decent source. That's too big of a shift and too short a price for there not to be something of substance behind it.

A huge bet? £20 quid can change a market lower than the prem. Poyet was 1/2 for the forest job and he has just been confirmed as betis manager for next season.

Was publicly linked with the job, confirmed to be on a shortlist and possibly had an interview. I understand it but he's 1/6 in a championship club market. £20 hasn't put him into that price.

No but some tool trying to put £2000 has put him short odds. Oddschecker should do a Sheridan outright market odds on with Leeds, he won't be far off being fav for the next Sheff Wednesday manager gig.
