First or last chances on Sunday

Recommended Posts

In his pre Millwall interview Shez said that his decisions on who gets offered a contract and who gets released had already been made, and people couldn't change his mind with performances in the last 2 games.

He also said that there were a couple of players who had not featured much under him this season but he liked them and they would be much more prominent in his plans for next season if he can persuade them to stay. On that basis I think these players, whoever they are, may well get a game on Sunday.

I'm sure they can, just don't want to do.

You really believe that they can forgo money when there isn't another match till August?

It's an opinion that flies in the face of every bit of evidence there is .

Never mind.

So long as Poleon is never seen in an Oldham shirt again.....

...I'd like to see what half a season without injury working under Sheridan's guidance would do for the boy... I've seen flashes - Gillingham away, Chesterfield away - where he's been running at the opposition defence and he's looked like a match winner. I agree it's all too infrequent, and there is much to criticise - first touch, decision making, apparent attitude et al - but I just feel like there might be a decent asset under there.

I can't be bothered with a maths lesson but they are rich people, losing a few grand on the day isn't going to cause too much damage.

Is Jack Truelove the new Kirk Millar?

Eh, don't slag off our Kirk. Gave us that Matt Smith moment, and he'll never be forgotten...

We don't even have a Kirk Millar atm. All of the youth products are way adrift of the first team. Coleman went straight into the action. Edmundson might be the next to flit in and out.

On £2.5k a week for the last year and a half Poleon has had enough of a chance. I dont even care if he goes and scores 50 elsewhere, I dont want to watch him as a fan, as he isnt exciting, he's garbage. Absolute headless chicken, who without his pace wouldnt be anywhere near professional football.

I think he's right up there on the wages. Hence the desire to move him on last August.

Surely if anybody Corney wasn't daft enough to hand a contract worth that much to a kid who'd achieved virtually nothing yet in his career.
