LINCOLN CITY, SINCIL BANK STADIUM, LINCOLN LN5 8LD

Up to 2,000 away fans van be accommodated in the covered all-seated Stacey West Stand at one end of the ground. This has good views, although it has a couple of supporting pillars at the front of the stand that could affect your view, especially if there is a large away following and you are unable to move seats.

Disabled supporters’ facilities:

There is a limited amount of disabled parking at the stadium.

The disabled section is in the Bridge McFarland Stand at the south end of the stadium with entrance through gate E12.

Disabled supporters are entitled to a concession rate when purchasing tickets within the Bridge McFarland Stand if they have a medium/high rate of Disability Living Allowance. To qualify for a complimentary helper's ticket, the supporter must be in receipt of a high rate of Disability Living Allowance. Proof of such criteria is always required when applying for the above, and will only be issued at the discretion of the Club.

How to get there:

On the bridge, get into the right-hand lane to turn right (s/p Sleaford A15, Grantham A607) onto South Park Avenue. Car Parking:
There's a small car park at the ground though most supporters park in the numerous side streets in the Sincil Bank area. A little further away, adjacent to South Park Roundabout, additional car parking is sometimes available on the South Common for a nominal charge.

By Rail:
The nearest railway station to Sincil Bank is Lincoln Central. The ground is a 10-15 minutes’ walk from the station. On foot, turn left out of railway station and left again at the main road (High Street) going over the level crossing. Take the seventh turning on the left (Scorer Street), and first right into Sincil Bank.

By Bus:
The City bus station is located 100 yards from the railway station. On leaving the railway station, cross the road at the pedestrian crossing, turn right and follow the road round to the left. The bus station is on your left.

Bus numbers 1, 1D, 7, 7A, 13, 14, 24A, 27, 27A, 601, SB4 all run along the High Street. Ask to get off at 'South Park Roundabout'. From here walk to the roundabout, turning left. The next left is Sincil Bank with the ground 100 yards away.

Where to drink:

Visiting supporters are welcome before matches in the Travis Perkins Suite, located at the south end of the ground, with hot food and cold drinks available. It provides a friendly pre-match atmosphere, with Sky TV available on numerous state of the art LCD screens.

Hot and cold food and drink are also readily available within the ground.

There are plenty of good pubs to be found if you head along the High Street towards the city centre. Fans of other clubs have recommended:

The Golden Eagle 21 High Street LN5 8BD;

The Ritz (Wetherspoon) 143-147 High Street LN5 7PJ;

The Treaty of Commerce 173 High street N5 7AF.

No doubt OWTB’s Lincoln residents will advise, but it appears that the following are very popular with the locals:

The Horse & Groom, Carholme Road;

The Duke William, 44 Bailgate LN1 3AP;

The Widow Cullen’s Well, 29 Steep Hill LN2 1LU;

The Strugglers, 83 Westgate LN1 3BG.

Checked earlier and Manchester to Lincoln, changing at Sheffield, you could a return train for £28. That involved you splitting the journey up though and getting 2 singles to Sheffield and back and an open return from Sheffield to Lincoln.

Don't forget this is highly unlikely to be a 3pm Saturday kick-off. Probably 2pm Sunday, as one of eight games moved there by the BBC.

League team away to non league team tends to be what the BBC go for with the giant killing factor. There's only 20 games this time and at least half will be moved for TV purposes. If we don't get one of the two or three live slots I'd say we are odds on to be one of the Sunday games.

Big Christmas Market for that weekend Fri, Sat, Sun. Some Lincoln fans reckon the old bill might ask for a Monday night fixture.

Someone could get Paul Durkin'd by a bratwurst if the police don't get this right....

They'll turn up for this in numbers I reckon. It'll be a dead, dead good cup tie. Both teams reckon they'll win. Meant to have a decent atmosphere at Lincoln as well.

Hope we can take 1000+.

What a great draw, first time we've played in Lincoln since 1998 (if my memory serves me right). The Lincoln massive will be there in force!

There are a few pubs within walking distance of the ground, mainly on the south end of the High Street (Golden Eagle, Shakespeare, George & Dragon, Millers Arms, Golden Cross (pretty rough). Some of those mentioned by Diego like the Strugglers are good pubs but a long walk from the ground. The Ritz (Wetherspoons) is about 10-15 mins walk from the ground, but after a pretty feisty altercation between Lincoln and Grimsby fans (yes Lincolnshire has a derby!) a few years back I'm not sure how footy fan friendly it is.

As someone else has mentioned the Christmas market is that same weekend. Its now supposedly the biggest in the UK, of not in Europe, so hotel prices if you can find one will be sky high.

Surely it's not bigger than the Manchester markets..?

Or Birmingham's, twinned with Frankfurt.

It has 280 stalls according to the website, and covers most of the centre of the town both uphill and downhill. I'm sure that its promoted as being the biggest in the UK, but I'm often wrong (so my wife tells me!). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_Christmas_Market
