No strong opinion, seems a bit busy if true though.

Coincidence you left the Trust shortly after? (I assume this 'incident' was recent?)

You've been thinking about this too much. I didn't tell the club about police getting involved in a scene outside the ground or his social media, and more than likely they know plenty that I don't. The bloke makes his own luck.

As for me leaving the trust board, I've honestly got no idea where you're going with that. It wasn't my wife he was a prick to if that's what you're thinking

Should have celebrated Ramadan himself instead of joking about it... fasting would have done him the world of good!

In the interest of balance, a joke - even a tasteless one - about a religion does not necessarily equal racism.   Expressing bigoted views on the basis of race is abhorrent and it’s quite ri

He was great today. Our captain could learn a lot from his display against a striker lauded on Twitter by some as "the best striker in the League..."

And people still want to defend the ‘man’.

Different conversation... obviously.  Threads have more than one conversation/argument.

Thank God for that. She'd have maimed him for life. Lovely girl, though, that Mrs leeslover.

Not sure what you mean by that. One thing that was very apparent was our lack of experience in the back 5. For all his faults Gerrard is quite good marshaling those around him. The average age of our back 5 was probably 20.

We need Clarke to recover from his injury / illness quickly. Another experienced head to compliment Clarke and Taylor wouldn't go amiss in my view.

I wouldn't play Gerrard again if he offered to play for free and we only had three fit defenders, of course our young back line struggled initially and they do need to find their feet and voices but having him back would be such a backward step it's not even worth contemplating. Hence the :petesake:.

I think Gerrard could still a job, so it's reasonable to say he was missed. I can understand your point about it being a step backwards, though.

If the stories are true I've no problem if the club have sacked him, provided they've followed proper procedure.

Gerrard will end up somewhere this season. If he plays against us can see him playing well.
