Transfer Rumours

That wasn’t just shoot on sight though - the shots were struck crisply and with power and more importantly they were placed perfectly. Last night was a masterclass in how to strike on goal.

Lets hope Dino has them working on their shooting in training this week. 😀

Problem is after umpteen sideways passes our players are closed down before they can shoot.

That's assuming we ever get in shooting range.

Here you go.
Some might argue a more crucial signing than Vera! 😉

It only covers 50sqm. We probably need another 2 or 3 of these to make a difference.

As Underdog says we need a new pitch with undersoil heating.

Our players just don't hit the ball early enough - make half a yard, knee over the ball, aim for the goalie, hit it, hope you miss him !

Easy peasy !

If the striker couldn’t hit a cow on the arse with a banjo then this is the perfect advise. However, if we have anyone who can then aim at the big bit of the goal and bingo! Goals will happen.

Under soil heating isnt really viable any more. Health and Safety regarding surrounding areas gets games called off more than actual frozen pitches these days.

A new pitch would also still struggle with the lack of light in front of the main stand.

The lamps are needed whatever we do/have.

A shot on target every now and then would be a start !

Pretty sure it is actually.  Don’t read the Mail, has really shoddy journalists... particularly on sport. 😁

there  have been occasions when games have been called off on police advice due to the condition of roads and pavements in the vicinity of the ground dont think it has ever happend at boundary park .

do recall our game at Bramhall lane being called of for an unexploded ww2 bomb one year

A sensible longer term solution is to demolish the Main Stand. Don't build another stand there (which will block light again) but, instead, create a neat standing terrace.

I believe one of the early BP development plans had this in mind. Taking the upper seating area away and from memory to be one level. Proposal was where the gym/club shop was to go.

The main stand is literally on its last legs. The FLG plan rolled out in July did include the main stand. It was more for the current offices/front of house to be moved over into the newer Joe Royle stand and have that as the new front of OAFC with a welcoming car park area. Then to develop the main stand into something else but I can't remember what now.

Is it a myth that the main stand is listed?

According to Historic England it's not listed. Albeit the map doesn't have the North Stand on!
