I never knew my other Grandad (the Oldham branch) either but he had a fine old time I think. Six kids with four different ladies. My Dad was his youngest and when he was born the old man was 64! Old enough to have fought in the Boer War and back in Oldham he sold yeast door to door. Presumably talked about whatever was rising to the ladies of the houses...
