You are not alone. I'm at the stage now where a goal for is 'quite nice' while a goal against is a 'bit of a shame''. I'm used to bigger swings of emotion than that.

We aren’t shit, we are getting there imo.

A nil nil draw would be a much more promising result than going two up and then conceding two because the promising play does not promise more goals.  This style of play just isn't right for league 2 unless you have better quality players.  Not looking forward to Saturday.

That isn't true at all. We are trying to play, we surrender possession too easily and in some cases dangerous areas. There wasn't anything about playing out from the back. There was when we consistently went backwards.

Supporters are frustrated. Majorly! 2-0 up in any game, whoever you are playing, needs to be seen out. Dropping it once is forgivable, twice is criminal and to do it in 4 days apart is ridiculously frustrating! So how can you blame supporters for not seeing past dropping 4 points against really poor sides and recording 1 win in our first 9 games and recording a meagre 7 points, sitting 4th from bottom.

Our "gameplan" is fine. That said, come November-February, on pitches that resemble a ploughed field, you have to dig in and fight for your points. When winter sets in, I fear that we're in trouble.

Saturday, by hook or by crook needs to be 3 points. Doesn't have to be good or fast flowing, just win the bloody game! No excuses!

You do know that playing football you do have to pass backwards also, not every pass can be played forward. Knock it about to open them up to play the forward pass. Something our fans also can’t get their heads around. Yes we overplay sometimes and are our worst enemy and put ourselves in danger, but these are league 2 footballers. If we are trying to play football shouting at the players that they have passed backwards or getting on their back when they misplace a pass is simply going to knock their confidence and they will do it more. It’s a shame some of our fans want us to fail, and that was confirmed yesterday with comments I heard from the crowd.

Yes, I do realise that sometimes you have to go backwards to create space to move the ball into dangerous areas.

Misplaced passes are moaned at when two examples, Maouche plays a pass 10 yards behind Hamer for a throw in - surrendering possession and Iacovitti plays a cross-field pass to their midfielder who breaks, he wins a free kick and they hit the inside of the post from the resulting free kick.

Now, although I appreciate performances are improving, results are not and football is a results based business. Regardless of performance, 7 points out of 9 games is simply not good enough when playing in a division as poor as the one League Two represents.

We're currently 4th bottom, 4 points away from mid table, 8 away from the playoffs and all we keep saying is "well the football is improving". Well that's fine but got to get results off the back of performances improving and polish teams off who are poor footballing sides.

We now also have to develop a plan B. Plan A is playing the ball around on the floor. That's fine but at this level you need to have grit, you need to battle and throw your bodies on the line. At 2-0 up we should be defending our box in a compact and determined manner and keeping everything out, flying in front of shots. Ensuring you deal with pretty average crosses coming into the box. We failed to do that and it is criminal to drop 4 points in as many days for not having the bottle and resolve to see a game that was in the bag through to take 3 very good points.

Needed 6 points minimum from 3 games this week. We've currently got 2. Maximum we can get now is 5 and that is a must. No ifs, no buts, no "well we played well and moved the ball about" - 3 points, no matter how good or bad it may be

I’m not sure that’s the case per se. Latics have been crap for years and years but people have still come to support the club in numbers and felt passionate. However the fact we’ve dropped a level, gotten even worse on the pitch and become completely unrecognisable off the pitch has meant people now feel detached from the club.

There’s an acceptance that one good result on the pitch doesn’t really matter whilst dumb and dumber are running the show so people are less invested in the individual results. We went 2 up yesterday and I wasn’t that bothered, we then threw a 2 goal lead away and I wasn’t even pissed off. It’s horrible to admit but people don’t feel connected to the club at the moment.

People will still go because it’s ‘what we do’ and whilst I’d never actively wish Latics to lose because of the ‘pissboil’, I completely understand people not being too arsed about what’s going on on the pitch because it’s pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Carry on being hysterical if you want though.

Scunny of course, definition of hysterical is our defending for the 2nd goal. Define 'pretty much always' in my mind a draw against relegation fodder isn't a decent result. Maybe my expectations are too high and I should lower them. 🙄

Regardless of what is said or people think, you do not boo your team off the pitch when it’s 0-0 at half time away from home.

I genuinely heard fans around me say they hope Scunthorpe score so they can have a pissboil. School kids behaviour

Lets get realistic.

2-2 draws at Plymouth and Scunny are decent results, against teams fancied for promotion and with significantly bigger budgets than us

Before this a 2-1 win at Cambridge was a good result.

2-2 at home to Grimsby isn't so good, but by all accounts we played OK for 70 Mins and should have won

Reports suggest we also played OK when losing at home to Colchester

We know AL is a complete twat and that is unlikely to change...however Banide does seem to making progress from the F Green and Crewe games with the average players we have. He may turn out to be a decent coach.

Beat Morcambe on Saturday which we should do, and we will be around 6/7 pts off the play offs and 6/7 points off the bottom which is about right.

We then see what happens from there...

I read it as low expectations of those that someone expects to underperform due to a bigoted view. i.e. assuming minorities will underperform at school simply because they are minorities.

I'll let you judge if that's appropriate here... where I am merely stating that away draws are "pretty much always" a decent point.

And highly fancied Mansfield were thumped at home to Cambridge.

Which proves is this division is extremely shite and instead of 34 shite players, we could have 24 significantly better ones. At the very least get rid of 10 deadwood and get a couple of decent players. And if we did get out this division we'd have to recruit all over again.

So all it proves Marco and his brother's recruitment policy is shockingly bad.

For those of you content to be avoiding relegation you are aware we were relegated 18 months ago from a league we managed to stay in for 21 years therefore our aim should be to get back into that said division not just be content with avoiding another relegation?

The owner and Head Coach did pretty much promise a promotion push this season we can hold them to account on this.
