pcassist 107
Nicky Adams signs until June 2022. Edited January 22 by pcassist
JoeP 1,388
Can't say I've heard of him, but ticks the "experienced midfielder" box that we need.. Welcome to the madhouse. I'll be amazed if he lasts the full contract.
oafcmetty 1,669
You haven't heard of him? Really? Not sure how he fits into our recruitment "strategy" but appears on paper to be a good signing - should add a bit of nous to our midfield (not hard) and hopefully help us keep the ball a bit better. Northampton captain, and played double digit number of games - wonder why they wanted rid?
daniel 207
His name was banded around as a potential great signing when Bury were going bust and got rid of all their top earners. I was in that bracket. At 34 now it doesn’t fit in with the AL philosophy, and the general crap treatment experienced pros have received under his ownership would be a concern. if his legs haven’t gone, it’s a good signing. Guy Branston Pickle 111
Good signing, could be this seasons McCann

TheBigDog 1,617
Available tomorrow too
Fervid 113
He ripped us a new one the last time we played Bury when Scholes was in charge.
PlayItLivo 947
Nicky Adams and Bobby Grant would have been amazing signings in 2013. Hopefully we can bring in Ryan Lowe for David Perkins next
hollandspies 76
Maybe the philosophy is a changing... Even Gary O’Donoghue can see we are crying our for some experience here and there.
Oldham82 32
Striker CB and another CM needed imminently

Whenever I've seen him he looked a very quick player who could put a good cross in. Might gave slowed a little, but i think he will do well here.

Littlemoor Lad 30
Good signing this, let's hope the new midfield lads develop an understanding and get off to a flyer tomorrow, we need to end the home losing streak
SweeperKeeper 274
Good friend of David Wheater. Amazing he's here for that alone! https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17665991.serious-nicky-adams-puts-bolton-banter-one-side/
SweeperKeeper 274
For those who wanted a bit more strength and fight in our team, he should add a bit of punch:

Bristolatic 2,837
Northampton fans seem to be gutted he's gone, but they're saying he no longer fits in because they don't play with wingers. Edited January 22 by Bristolatic
League one forever 1,191
Still find it surprising that any player with credibility would join us on a permanent deal. He’s either desperate, or we pay relatively well. Which considering what they stumped up for Wheater isn’t beyond the realm of possibility.

Your giving them too much credit to say their is philosophy their isn't one or a strategy it's just pot luck That said I think this will be a good signing until he inevitably falls out with hierarchy. There are other factors, such as distance from home to place of work, which come into play. Wheater signed us partly because he didn’t have to move house.
