The worst defence in the league takes on the worst attack.

If Hilßner and McAleny are back then I think we'll be able to score enough to win, but left back is a big concern if Borthwick-Jackson isn't fit.

I don’t expect any of those three to be fit for Saturday. Add Dearnley, Barnes, Badan & Garrity plus Jameson’s suspension to that list and we are down to the bare bones...

Lawlor

Fage, Clarke, Piergianni, Adams

Diarra, Ntambwe

Bahamboula, McCalmont, Keillor-Dunn

Grant

Bilboe, Jombati, Tasdemir, Vaughan, Blackwood, Whelan, Da Silva

Good job it’s only Southend...👀

0-0 or 0-1 then?

Must win game for me 2-1

Very rarely confident Latics facing Southend at home, can recall them turning us over on a few occasions no matter how poorly they have been doing.

Would settle for a really scrawpy win against these as we are looking like we are at the bare bones squad wise.

Just hoping Hilsner is back as the midfield looks pitifully short without his presence

Come on Latics

Wow if that's all we've got I'm not sure we'll even be favourites.

The only change I'd make to that lineup would be bringing in Whelan for one of Diarra or Ntambwe.  Away from home that team would work well, but at home to a lower team that we would probably need to break down it would be good to see the creativity that Whelan is supposed to have.

Id take a point right now.  It's a mustn't lose

If we're going to keep only our 2nd clean sheet of the season, this is the game to do it in.

Other than putting 3 quality goals past Forest Green, 1 of which is surely goal of the season, they've only scored 5 away goals in the league.  Their recent form is decent but they've mostly been low scoring matches.

Teams are coming  here for a win and full of confidence that we have a crap defence and lightweight. Long gone are the days of being a fortress at home. Now it's more like a sand castle.

Having said that even with our injuries I'm hoping as always for a win but when I see what they did against the likes of Scunthorpe  I wouldn't bank on it.

Some good news today is that I've been told by the club that I've won a free season ticket for next season.

Get beat on Sat and Kewell can fuck off

With only a hand full of players, sorry footballers, half a dozen at best to pick from, what difference would yet another manager make?

Our home form against the teams at the bottom is starting to suggest that Kewell isn't up to the task. Getting turned over by some of these shite teams isn't acceptable.

I see the club have found even more ways to piss the fans off.
