Kewell Sacked

Strangely enough I think the head youth team coach could.

But what's there to base that on?   His only managerial experience is in Romania at a low level.  Six months working with the youths, none of whom have threatened to become first team regulars, isn't a classic path to management.

Agree with all the comments saying the biggest problem(s) at the club still remain, but let's have it right: Kewell was rubbish. Should have been sacked in November and was fortunate fans weren't allowed in grounds to vent their frustration...

Hang on Lee, are you saying we have a top ten squad and HK is a rubbish coach because we are presently below that position.

Or Is it that you are saying you don’t agree with HKs team selection, team tactic and “in game” decisions, in which case I would suggest people are not “rubbish” just because you disagree with them.

Anything come out from the trust or are they smacking that big red button and looking around wondering why the button doesn’t activate anything.

AL and MO need to go

Barry needs to go

All the other directors including the trust need to go.

It all needs scrapping, they are all to blame in one way or another.

Our record wasn't good by mid-November, but by giving him time our record improved.

He wasn't the second coming but he wasn't rubbish.  He had positives that the club could work with for the time being.

That said, Curle would be an upgrade if we get him.

‘Rubbish’ is such a broad term in this context. In his defence I think that he did get some things right - mainly our attacking play. He also improved Keillor-Dunn and got some good performances from McAleny and Dearnley - maybe he has a future as an ‘Attacking Coach’ if there is such a role.

Lets be fair to him, he was dealt a pretty poor hand and was always up against it.

Ultimately he wasn’t a success and wasn’t given the time or the backing to be otherwise.

Thanks for the hard work Harry and good luck with whatever you do next.

I wonder if our away form had been the other way round, he would still be in a job?

Weird really.  In this season who really gives a toss about the difference between home and away form?

Fair point Dave but still a valid question by Lof.

Is it mere co-incidence that we chose to announce Kewell’s dismissal on Sunday night - when another Harry was trending having broken away from ‘the firm’ amid claims of internal pressure, a breakdown in communication and not allowing funding for certain aspects of the job.

He’s watched him on a webinar and now he’s sold

Is HK the first manager in Latics history not to be seen in the flesh by fans!!!!!!!!

He is in my lifetime

Don't care who gets the job as long as we restore some pride and win some of our remaining games.

or is that too much to ask?

One of the best win ratio's hasn't he? Rubbish.

Not much use when he lost more than he won.
The points per season ie PPG x 46 games he is the 15th most succesful of all time if you ignore division like win ration does.

So an average season:

Champions: No one

Autos: No one

Play offs: Pete Wild x 2 , David Ashworth & Mick Wadsworth

Relegated: Dunn, Scholes, Joe Royle 09, Darren Kelly, Gordon Hurst, TP 05 1 game, martin gray 1 game, Banide stys up by 1 point.
