GlossopLatic
Tuesday the 21st of May  For those of you may have questions, grievances, or who's emails haven't been answered   Looks like the club is stepping up its communication. Some may say that they possibly should have done that earlier but maybe it was best to let the dust settle on this season before they did any of that. I doubt it will turn into the Royton Cricket Club show stopper and nor should it either but it does give the opportunity to ask any burning questions some might have. Besides if I gave my thoughts directly to MM on his turgid tactics I'd probably be thrown out  Edited May 13 by BP1960
Hemel latic
Bit surprised by the timing. Might be difficult to be more forward looking than dwelling on the season just gone.
JoeP
Fair play to the club, although I'm not sure there's masses to add after Darren's interview...

I give my opinions and that won't change whoever is the manager. If MM isn't aware of fans feelings on his style of play he has his head buried in the sand. If he changes it around next season to better football all credit to him. Edited May 13 by BP1960
LaticMark
Micky Mellon, Gary Brabin, Darren Royle, and Luke Rothwell to meet with supporters and discuss their plans ahead of the next season.  Tickets

Yeah, I’d like to know more from Darren on the mistakes made with recruitment and how we’ve managed to cobble together such a lob sided squad. On the other hand, what’s the point of raking over old ground in greater detail?  It’s been poor, they know it’s been poor, they’ve acknowledged it’s been poor. Probably time to draw a line.

I have only been to a couple before, both LJ. He knew how to play the audience, looking back they were heady days.

I'm in agreement but I can only assume it's when DR / LR want to do it more than anything else. Perhaps they want to do it to drum up a little more positivity and convert those wavering ST renewers, given the extended earlybird deadline? Frankly Mr Shankly
Be hilarious if Shitpeas turned up wearing one of those latex heads and whipped it off in the middle of it to challenge DR and LR on Stolen Stadium-gate. I literally wouldn't rule that out.

A true reflection is the terrific passing attacking football from Murray's Academy set up. Unfortunately, due to the EFL rules that won't exist as it was. BradKnowles1
Not attending the fans forum. Fans have built up anger. It all stems from the Alex Reid video. This is the moment the fans started turning on the players.  we have not won a game since February. Since the season finished we have had the Mellon interview which did not inspire confidence. I’m still expecting him to walk at any moment.  The news coming out of the club, academy closing, Murray leaving and not looking to recruit is all more doom and gloom.  I'm hoping the club have some positive news to give us at the forum. Maybe a signing just to inspire us.
GlossopLatic
Pretty rare for us to make signings at this time of year most people will be on holiday anyway. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if we don't hear too much in that respect for another month or so.

I think someone said our first signing last summer was Lundstram in the second week of June. Can't imagine there'll be much to report this month

It doesn't mean negotiations aren't currently ongoing I've no doubt Darren Royle and Micky Mellon are racking up a huge phone bill as we speak but I'm not expecting to hear anything for a while.
