Pre-Season Schedule 2024 - News - Oldham Athletic Not bad, but better if the Southport and Lincoln dates had been reversed and Warrington replaced by Curzon Ashton. daniel
Enjoyed last seasons pre-season fixture list as managed to tick off a few new stadiums, so would have preferred playing someone different than Southport and Radcliffe again. Warrington will be a new one to tick off, and hopefully the 1 we are yet to announce will be someone we haven’t played before, but will probably be Curzon….. Hemel latic
Is that three years running that we've played Radcliffe? Becoming a traditional curtain raiser.

I had heard rumours about a week in Scotland but that appears to have been knocked on the head given the intensity of the pre season programme locally. Suspect it's the Nicky Adams link. Apart from playing there he was doing some age group coaching with our our academy

Hemel latic
Might see some triallists in the line up on Saturday given how many are around the squad.
Simpo
Does anyone know if the fan bar is open or closed tomorrow, with the stand itself closed? Clayton Green is now permanently closed as well...

Clayton Green is now permanently closed as well... It’s been open for the England games, so would be bizarre if it weren’t open tomorrow. Not surprised about Clayton Green. Location obviously good and it’s where majority of away fans head too, but the food is truly appalling.

mick26
Doesn't look to be the most exciting lineup considering it's more or less our first choice 11. Hope we have a good start to the season as it all just feels a bit flat at the minute!

Hope we have a good start to the season as it all just feels a bit flat at the minute! Lower expectations, higher delivery would suit just fine. For the last couple of seasons we have had huge expectations/sense of entitlement with squads which were supposedly made for the division. Team spirit and pragmatism may be vital assets this season. Boyyou
Don't do pre-season games. Anybody there give us an idea of how we look today?
LaticMark
Nil nil at half time. I'm not there, but these are some of the comments on Twitter. "Only a friendly, but the football is so much better. You can tell they have been told to cut out the hoofing shite" "Playing the ball really well. The get it forward main stand moaners going to be up in arms that we aren’t hoofing it" "It's great to see us keeping the ball a lot more but Lundstram really needs to move the ball forward more. Can see the other lads getting a tad agitated with him too" "Fondop looks like a raffle winner playing with a few actual footballers" "Josh Kay gives me Gary Harkins vibes with his looks and the way he glides" "Look OK, playing decent stuff, careful with the ball... Patient.... Clever... but we absolutely cannot go into the season with Fondop as our front man" "I don't care what happens for the rest of this game. I've just had the pleasure of watching a right wing back glide up down the pitch in an Oldham shirt for the first time in 56 years"

Joe Royle and only the large section of the Jimmy Frizzell stand with the away supporters in the main stand lowered CRE side
