League one forever
Interesting that couple have us winning the league. Not sure if that’s genuine expectation or unswerving loyalty. Personally I don’t think we’re anywhere near a title challenge in terms of squad depth and consistency of results. I see an improvement on last season, but not a vast difference. JoeP
Think everyone needs to chill a bit. We've signed some new players which was needed, but then we signed some fairly exciting players (on paper) this time last year. The pre- season form doesn't look massively different to this time last year, which probably isn't any indication of which way it's going to go come season start. We just don't know. We might be good, we might be shite again. Just guesswork at this stage. Edited July 24 by JoeP

We might be good, we might be shite again. Just guesswork at this stage. Sorry but that's just wrong. I've seen us 3 times so far and the difference, when we've played a recognisable first team, has been poles apart from last pre-season. The ball's been played around creating chances, which haven't been converted, and I'm certain with a couple of additions and players returning from injury we're a knocking bet for top 3. Maybe I'm guilty of being over optimistic but hopefully it's a balance from the lemon-suckers who purport to be fans and only surface when our 2nd string fail to win against a side fired up who in a league match would have had at least 3 players booked or worse in a competitive match.

Wrong in your opinion... There's nothing certain about progress made until we put Braintree et al to the sword. I think there's various levels of enthusiasm with which players approach pre-season friendlies. Hopefully our performances so far will be an indication. But, as I say you don't really know either way until the proper business starts.

You're correct, it is all about opinions and I disagree with yours that pre-season doesn't look massinvely differant to last year's. You're also correct that we're all only guessing until the curtain goes up ! Edited July 24 by Bobledgersheart spelling
