OK. Who's going to Wealdstone?

So a good start yesterday should add a few to the numbers we take next weekend.

A long trip for the faithful but first away game and a relatively easy one for us OASIS lot!

Reckon we should have about 600 ish there and be top by 5 pm.

Not my favourite away day, couple of nice boozers but the grounds a bit of a dump and we couldn't get a drink at the ground last season, still tempted

Was always going and got my tickets the day they went on sale. Bloke in front of me said he’d heard we’d sold 700, which I think seems quite high with a week to go.

We have sold a 57 seater coach out. Would have been 72 but the coach burnt out.

Did say pre season I'd scale back the aways and maybe do the ones we didn't do last season and we already did Wealdstone.

It’s had a good innings that coach. It used to take me swimming in primary school and I’m 40 this year.

After some advice for this one, thinking of bringing the Mrs to this one, on a detour before we go to Cornwall... any recommendations on where to stay? A decent town, preferably somewhere we can go out for a few drinks afterwards? Thanks!

Can't go wrong with Windsor. Loads of decent bars and restaurants, usually buzzing at the weekend and right on the M4 for an easy get away to Cornwall.

Plenty of places to stay also

If the rumours are true, and Norwood is not back starting until early September, then Mikey will already have played 6 or 7 times. 
I would then expect GN9 to be on the bench and play his part as an impact player

 

I still hope that we do bring in another striker in the coming weeks which would limit his opportunities but Mikey has a role to play in getting us out of this god forsaken league…
