So after the joys and highs of the game on Saturday, soon back down to business in another huge game in the NLC.

Current standings

A win here, would put us in a great position to progress to the QFs.

A game at home I think we should be winning.

Wonder what the side will be, discussion before the start of this it was a chance to give some of the reserves a run out, since then Reid & Hogan have departed. Others have become injured causing the reserves to play more minutes than expected.

Hopefully Sutton & Kay will be fit enough to feature. Moloney will no doubt start in net. Expect to see Jes, Moore, Hammond, Otis & Gardner all to start as well. Interesting to see where Garner is up to. Wonder if Clucas will get 45 to help towards fitness or be left out completely. Drummond could potentially get minutes (if he got a substantial amount, could give us an indicator to the line up on Saturday)

Obviously Saturday is the priority and with this being played on the Wednesday it's 24 hours less than usual to recover so wouldn't expect any of our key players to feature at all, Conlon, Lundstram, Norwood, Fondop etc.

I'd go with:

Maloney
Ogle - Sutton - Monthe
Moore - Clucas - Gardner - Khan
Hammond - Kay
Drummond

Hook Monthe and Clucas as soon as possible

Don't we have to start 4 players who started the last league game? If so start the freshest players who started that and the least likely to get injured and hook 2 of them at half time.

These games are only about avoiding injuries for the first 11 and giving some pitch time to the fringe players the result doesn't actually matter as I don't want us to be in this pointless distraction of a competition.

I think it’s 4 who played the last game. I think subs count. Reckon khan Hammond and Jes will all play.

wouldn’t be suprised to see a few non contract players playing

I see Barnet don't have the distraction 72 hours before a crucial game.

Last time we played in this competition we followed it up with our only home defeat of the season to Solihull, let's hope we fare better this Saturday on our travels.

Wouldn't be risking any of Hudson, Ogle, Raglan, Monthe, Conlon, Clucas, Payne, Kitching, Caprice, Norwood, Fondop, Drummond, and by that i mean they don't even attend.

So that leaves

Maloney

Norman

Sutton

Monthe (half hour if he's up to it)

Moore

Hammond

Gardner

Kay

Khan

Uchegbulam

Doro (recalled from wherever he is)

Garner (what's even happened to him?)

+ some kids.

Given the injuries we've got and already sustained in the first game I'd be doing what's best for the football club on Wednesday given the huge game on Saturday.

Yeah, the deeper we get into the season the more of a nuisance this competition becomes.

As @BradKnowles1 says it would be no surprise to see a non-contract player or two. I wouldn't be surprised if Clucas played the first half to get match fitness back into his legs.

Wonder how much the fine is for not playing 4 players who started the last league game.

I'm geniunely impressed with your commitment to a competition that means almost zero.

The one benefit I see from it is to give squad players competitive minutes on the pitch, but if the cost is that 1st team players pick up injuries then it's not worth it.
