BPAS Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 The FA Cup blessed us with it's magic by pitting us against Mickey Mellon's former club and our historic rivals from the Wirrell, Tranmere Rovers. With the sell out away end expectant, the team delivered. Rumour has it that Norwood celebrated his goal with a Nando's for one. He's definitely inconsistent, both exciting and frustrating in equal degrees. I hope he's now realising that as soon as he takes a man on around the box he either gets a shot off or a cross. He dummies far too often, as did Eyresey ( I realise I may be upsetting a few here ) but at least when he did get a cross in it was invariably decent. Norwood especially would benefit from early balls into the box. Quote

Dave_Og Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 (edited) Not that I give a tuppenny toss about ManYoo but I do think criticism of Ineos for binning Ferguson from his retirement sinecure is off the mark. A very wealthy man taking £2m a year for shaking a few hands is more a demonstration of a hierarchy losing touch with reality than a billionaire trying to turn an unwieldy shambles into a competent professional football club. Agreed. You'd have thought they'd snatched his winter fuel allowance the way some people went on. His altercations with the Coolmore crowd showed him to be a very greedy man indeed. On Ineos, I thought the Failsworth billionaire, who live as a tax exile and bought his united shares via the Isle of Man to avoid future Capital Gains Tax, had some cheek suggesting public funds should be used to re-develop their cowshed. 1 Quote
