It is strange that the capacity of the stand is almost a thousand more but the reduced allocation must be down to the numpty element that will be out in force at Spotland 😮

It's 100% down to the dickhead element. I also notice we've decided to prioritise season ticket holders which we didn't do last season either and they should have done.

Isn't it an early kick off time? That will nullify excessive drinking and "numptiness" by around 90% I would have thought.

Nah, it’ll limit it a bit but a drunk numpty is still a numpty and will in most cases still act like one when sober. They’ll all just be Wetherspoon's at 8am drinking a shit load in a shorter period of time.

A full breakfast will help soak it up

It's not the booze that it's the cocaine. There is a reason why most of these people's wives walk out on them and their kids hate them.

The main problem in the away end last year was people running on the pitch and the worst punch up was Latics fans in the home end, which by reducing the capacity for the most eagerly anticipated derby in years seems to me to make the problem worse.

From memory the most trouble I have seen was the 3-0 win and that was because the demand for the match way exceeded the tickets given and so loads more went in the home ends than normal.

The early kick off and better stewarding at either ends and the front will help in keeping the away end where they should be , but now the problem will be scattered around the ground.

Reducing the number of tickets available to Oldham fans and the impossibility of preventing Oldham fans from getting tickets for the Home ends would seem to almost guarantee more disorder than at the previous fixture. I imagine OASF will raise this with the relevant authorities, I'm sure they'll be on it. Not sure how much influence the club or the police have on Rochdale over the allocation.

It could well be both. Because there was no history of violent disorder, or domestic violence before the widespread prevalence of cocaine...

I am guessing of course but I think a lot of the people if given a choice would buy a ticket for the away end, but if they can't they will go in the home end. We are both going for promotion so more than ever people want to be there.

That is the dilemma the decision makers have got. They are going to be sold out before today is out, clearly showing the eagerness of everyone.

Get as many as possible in one place, surely that is more sensible.

Sensible and those making decisions in football rarely go hand in hand, fans all over the place when they gave us 4000 last season so they'll get what they deserve restricting the allocation the way they have.

We had less than 3100 last season didn’t we? They didn’t give us the full stand.

Apparently people are just buying online with their ST’s and then going to the ticket office for more using their ST’s as they ain’t checking. Not arsed as got mine but hopefully they’ll all be going to regular match goers!!!
