Saw he scored again yesterday for Wealdstone.

That's 4 goals in 5 games for them, in a side that were bottom of the league and couldn't score for toffee.

3 wins from 5 games having only won 1 league game all season prior to his arrival shows he's made a real impact, even if not 100% match fit.

 

We all know he fell out with Mellon and never really got the chance to show what he could do after that, but I do wonder that if we had handled the whole situation in a different way, then he could have been a real asset for us this season...

He was crap in pre season got a chance then and was rubbish, let him keep scoring someone might take him off us permanently

He fell out with people at Sollihull and at Stockport aswell it's not just us

 

It's just form he'll do well for abit then probably get bored and go off the boil.

He's the something different Mellon alludes to at times but for whatever reason he spoilt his chance with us and that's how I view it, shame because he has goals in him particularly off the last man but he's gone now and won't play again unless we change manager and that's not going to happen.

Not sure hes had much of a chance this season to be honest..think you must be imagining this!!

And I'm not saying he hasn't been a bit of a knob, but he's now our second top scorer (sort of) and yesterday for example he could have offered something different to what we have....

He’s gone and not going to play for us whist Mellon is here. Hopefully a bottom end league 2 club come in with a bid for him in Jan.

He looked pretty poor in pre-season and 3 of the goals he's scored were against lower league opposition and another a penalty ( which we all know doesn't count  ). It's a shame he couldn't be re-integrated anto the group but last night's performance proves we've moved on from having his type in the group so it's best he finds another new club to repeat his saga.

Agreed, IMO Fondop and Stones will be our best combination.

Reid has had many chances and failed to impress.

I’d like to see Drummond play with a tad more composure when close to goal - he could bag a few if he does

I've seen him score some absoloute crackers for Macc, saying that most were instinctive finishes requiring little thought.

You could make an argument for Garner but they're different types of players. Garner is there purely for his shithousery when protecting a one or two goal lead at home to a part-time hobby team. Reid can't do that. 

 

So on that basis, do you swap out either Norwood, Fondop or Stones for him? I wouldn't.

 

End of the day, he 'fits' a team like Wealdstone where he can act the Billy big bollocks and fanny about as an influencer all he likes. For a promotion-chasing side you need winners, not players who are more arsed how many likes they'll get on a post.

That’s not confined to Drummond, I think the majority of our players need to play with a little more composure!

I think it’s less likely that Mellon will banish someone for good after one incident to the detriment of the squad and more likely that Reid just doesn’t fit the profile of player Mellon thinks can get us promoted.

Exactly. 
 

Don’t think the incident helped, but he’s just not a Mellon type player.
 

He can finish, and he’s useful playing on the shoulder but his workrate is poor, he doesn’t press, and can easily drift out of games.
 

He’s a show pony, which has much synergy with Mellon as chalk and cheese.

His obsession with his social media is one of the reason's he won't play any higher. He scores a tap in for a part-time club and posts on social media as if he has just signed for Real Madrid, as if he is vindicated for some reason. I'll have him back if he was going to come off the bench and change a game but we have seen little evidence of that. 

 

He has goals in him but I don't see him doing much in the system we have currently. I get he probably just wants to be liked but at Oldham you can get that from the fans by just putting a bit of graft in.

The younger end of our fanbase did love him, it might be the social media thing as kids these days can't do without it. Us older folks want to see more than pics and likes.

I find it a bizarre that he trains with us and just turns up on a Saturday for Wealdstone like some ringer. He’s posted a video training with us today looks like Fondop is training
