Lags Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 So currently whilst matches have been screened on National league TV and subscribing to the International pass, using a VPN the Saturday 3pm kick off's have been available to watch. Given from 7th December the National league TV option will cease to exist and everything then migrating to DAZN will this now stop the ability to watch live games? If you try to access DAZN after signing up using a VPN it states its not available in this country (ie, the country chosen on the VPN). It's not looking good!!. Does anyone know for sure or how to circumvent it? Quote

Looks like DAZN have a much better way of detecting VPN’s, which you would expect as they are a global business, and so it looks like the only way to watch Saturday 3pm games in this country would be via a dodgy firestick. Which of course isn’t legal and therefore shouldn’t be recommended…. Quote

Lags Posted November 11, 2024 Author Posted November 11, 2024 I've managed to log in via the United States. Hopefully that's gonna work come Saturday matches. Quote

Hey Lags, I‘ve not tried with the National League pass yet, but use DAZN for NFL GamePass (ridiculous how many separate subscriptions there are), and I had a similar issue when I was on holiday. I had to try a couple of connections (i use NordVPN) and then I logged in via private browser on Chrome and it worked. Seems you have to try a bit and it can work. Also, it always works on my phone when I use VPN and log in to their app. Quote

LightDN123 Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 NLTV officially shutting down on the 7th. Quote
BucksBlue Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Has anyone tried to transfer their subsrciption from NLTV to DAZN? I got an email saying either "re-register with DAZN by the 7th" or contact us if you do not wish to transfer. I am genuinely overseas and followed the link BUT it simply says "what plan would you like to subscribe to". I already paid for the full season and do not see any "transfer" options. Anyone had sucess? tips please? Quote
latics59 Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 I got charged twice to watch the Barnet game (first time I’ve used the service) and when I queried this they said I had also signed up for National League TV (which I hadn’t) and refused a refund! Quote

Once you register, it automatically set's up your previous subscriptions, however you need to lodge a card with DAZN Any left over days with National TV are transferred I am fairly sure about that. However the National league TV still works till 7th December but once you register with DAZN, they will take no more Subs. Edited November 13, 2024 by Lags Quote
the_mighty_bosh Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 While barely watching the Mickey Mouse Cup game, I've been trying to get the DAZN working on my VPN. DAZN is definitely sharper than NLTV as it has the home location separate from current location. Will try a few other ways (like the US connection that Berlin Blue mentioned) but if anyone else has a solution to it I'm all ears. Quote
BucksBlue Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 I am genuinely based in the USA (home location and credit card used for NLTV) But I'm in Europe at the moment for work. I had access to DAZN without a VPN for the last league game (after re- registration etc) Quote

yarddog73 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 I'm away for this one today, I've tried to buy a match pass but my DAZN account presumes I'm at home so doesn't give me the option, alternatively I've tried logging on with a ProtonVPN but DAZN is all over that and doesn't even give me access to the website, if you are genuinely abroad why won't it offer the match pass when logging in to your account?. Anyone a clue on how I can buy the match pass today?. Quote
JumpingJoshLundstram Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Does NORD VPN work on Dazn? It used to work for NLTV but heard some people had issues with using a VPN to watch Dazn? Quote

Yeah, there's been various threads on here, some mentioning the VPN is difficult to use with Dazn (but sure I've read some have had some success with it) Presume DAZN are more on the ball to it as they are a much bigger organisation than the NLTV website. Only reason I'd use a VPN is to watch our games, so don't really want to pay the £14.99 month subscription if I then can't access Dazn Quote

gbium Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 Suspected this might be the case when moving to DAZN. Worked up to now but they seem to have had a crack down. Worked for me on Saturdays up to now when I couldn’t make the game - both at home and abroad. Weirdly their app / licence isn’t worldwide - couldn’t watch it when in Malta - needed to hop over to Belgium for a couple of hours I expect the clubs are going to see a big drop off in revenue (assuming they still get a share of the subscriptions).
