I  only use the fans bar occasionally. But whenever I do, I am left disappointed . There has been a bloke with a disco, and on Saturday another young chap singing and playing his guitar.   I couldn't hear a word he was singing, and could only just hear the guitar.  After a short time the lad looked like he was having a nervous breakdown. He was holding his head, then banging his hands on his table. Did he really expect fans to stand quietly listening to his music.

Does anyone who goes in the fans bar actually ask to be entertained ?  or like me just want to talk about Latics in general or natter about the upcoming game ?  Music playing whilst trying to talk to your mates/friends just doesn't work. It just ends up a shouting match into each others face.

Whoever organizes this stuff, needs to ask a few fans if they enjoy music blasting out, which spoils their pre match interaction with fellow fans.

I go to Fulham occasionally and they have buskers outside on the concourse that overlooks the river - it adds to the atmosphere and works well.

They're just trying to see what works regarding entertainment but as has been said, people want to go to mix with likeminded fans and watch the early match on the screen.

It always feels a bit cold and clinical with its bare breezeblock walls and cheapo plastic pints. I'm aware that things are a-changing regarding the decor so we'll wait and see. I'd like to see a better quality drinking recepticle, even if it's for a couple of quid deposit or whatever system they tend to use.

At Maidenhead of all places they had those beer pours from the bottom things or some such sorcery which were super fast and miles more efficent. If a no mark clubs like that can have those, I don't know why we can't. Reducing big queues at the bar has to be the priority.

I think the other thing is the really cheap and falling to bits picnic benches which really need changing I don't expect anything particularly comfy just abit better.

As has been said I'm not sure I want entertainment or loud music and neither will many of the old men who go in there. The walls definitely need decorating with Latics related decor.

Don't get me wrong I'm grateful to have anything resembling a fan bar but feel their is room for improvement.

Not seen it advertised but I did see that The Dusk & Dawn in Shaw will be having it on. Never been in, so not sure what it’s like.

Ok, cheers. I half thought I'd heard somewhere that it was being on in the fan bar, but wasn't sure.

So no cash payments anymore at B.P.

Wait till the Russians get into our computerised banking system.

Cash is king imo.

The programme sellers have enough to carry without one of them machiney thingys.

Especially as they aren’t particularly reliable, as they are working on SIMs, which I know through experience at BP as my internet is crap on my phone and regularly stops working.
I was going in the main car park last week and it had failed. The bloke was nice enough and I explained I didn’t carry cash because I had no need to due to BP being cashless and he let me in. Would imagine he would have done the same a few times, so there is lost money straight away.

They're magnets in the bottom of the glass, if you poke a finger up the bottom all the good stuff comes out. Then do the same to the pint glasses and beer goes everywhere.

As has been mentioned above, it is great to have a fans bar at all and the work put into it is appreciated, but it took half an hour to get served before Tamworth.

I don't get why they can't pre-pour beers and hand them out as people order...
