Went with Lundstram, but honestly that’s the hardest MOTM to vote on. I thought everyone was 7/8 out of ten tonight. Everyone was good, no one was bad, and no one was excellent. Was a game played in 1st and 2nd gear for large periods, which is a good thing.

Worst team I’ve seen at BP so far but that doesn’t take any credit from a solid professional performance. Another boost for our goal difference too.

Harsh for me that. Braintree and Tamworth far worse for me. These actually offered something going forward at times, and should have equalised if not for Hudson with a great save. Thought they got in behind a couple of times also but we recovered well.

I didn’t see Braintree to be fair but these were very poor, but we took the game by the scruff of the neck and didn’t let up on them apart from 15 mins in 2nd half. Monthe barely broke into a sprint most of the game. But we beat what was in front of us and beat them well.

I thought they played far better than their 23rd place suggested. Never let their heads drop and cut us apart with slide rule passes on a number of occasions. They were just outclassed and unpicked on the night by one or two periods of brilliant football.

Powder puff up front when it mattered though.

Difficult to choose between the 3 I had in mind but went for Lundstram because he was all over it,

Conlon had an absolute cracker and Ogle is just his brilliant self

As the vote proves.

Stones is a real handful alongside Norwood and this has obviously pushed GN9's nose out of place, as was shown with the penalty but I fully understand his eagerness and act of defiance,

In fairness he'd won it and I was both happy and relieved for him as it crashed in,

As a team we looked balanced and full of intent, a tremendous showing all round.

Personally I thought Clucas was the best player on the pitch, saying that that's the best I've seen from Conlon who ran him a close second, now we are getting our foot on the ball we look a different beast.

Don't underestimate Hudsons contribution though, he pulled off a couple of vital saves at important times, difficult saves at that. Positionally he was excellent and looks back to form.

As has been said though it was as a complete a performance as we've seen for many a season, I thought Boston looked okay and expect them to pick up the odd result or two but we just looked too strong for them and ran out comfortable winners.

Glad Stones got his goal, he gets frustrated with himself at times when he shouldn't, really, his overall contribution in attack and defence was good though and he'll just get better with more minutes, him and Norwood with Lundstrum in behind are really taking it to teams, Fondop, Drummond and Charsley as back up ain't too shabby neither.

Cut in to 10's to win the League which could still be generous.

I was just going to post almost the same post yarddog so changed it a bit.

When we passed it around last night we looked different class. First time for years that I felt comfortable watching it happen, not worried that “we will give this away with a bad pass shortly”. Clucas is the difference, his quality on the ball feels like it has demanded similar from the others in the midfield.

first 30 mins was fantastic to watch.

Agree Hudson was very good, great save first half!

Very encouraging performance all round.  Everyone so much more positive and the team attitude as a whole really upbeat.

Great to see Hudson back to his best form after a sticky start to the season, interesting reading the interview where he said it had been difficult to adjust to having less to do.

Needs to sort his distribution out though

He can probably improve it but he's not going to turn into Allison.  Was going to say Ederson but... :)

Far better than Tamworth, who just gave up and persisted with long throws even though their trabuche wasn't wheeled on until seventy five minutes.

His kicking is pretty poor and he struggles releasing the ball early but if that's all I've got to moan about it'll be a great season. 🤞

If his distribution was better he'd probably be already playing at a higher level, it probably is the weakest part of his game and no more than adequate.
