Dave_Og Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 just a sign of the modern age, I think, that news re injuries and recoveries seems to filter through very slowly these days. A bit odd given that pretty much every other sort of news is hard to avoid! It is what it is seems to be the relevant modern argot. Anyway.... Clucas news anyone? Quote

I think MM likes to keep injury news out of the public eye, not to deny info to fans but to keep opposing teams guessing. Regards Clucas, he suffered from that bad challenge late on at home to Boston but he finished the match so I'd like to think he won't be out too long with that. Keeping Clucas fit as much as possible is crucial. The quality and football brain he brings to the party pulls us immediately away from the play-off condenders bracket into title contention. Quote

The terseness of Mellon's reply suggests to me it's not good news ! Hope I'm wrong......again. Quote

TheBigDog Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 Definitely short in his response! He intimated that keeping information on injuries to a minimum is in order to keep the opposition manager in the dark. Two week before Clucas next needs to play so hopefully he will have recovered by then. Quote

That challenge was pre meditated and the player knew excactly what he was doing when he fouled Clucas. Can't remember if the ref booked him or not , hopefully its not a bad one. Quote
Pidge Posted December 2, 2024 Posted December 2, 2024 It’s an interesting one this. Doctors and physios are bound by confidentiality to not give any information about a players injury unless the patient has given express permission. However the persons injuries usually get known by everyone around the club. Quote
Lukers1 Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Hobson back in light training so that’s good news. One thing I’m hearing is that the players are encouraged to have swimming and hot tub Sundays to help relax. I know some of them meet up at a posh hotel spa place in Cheshire. Monday off so plenty of time to time to get over the knocks. Quote

For you youngsters, Ian was pivotal to Joe prior, during and after the glory years. He has 50 years professional experience as a physio. We must have one of the best backroom teams in all the divisions 1 Quote
