l'm really really sorry put this in main forum. any chance we can let it slide til midday?

l've got two 1.25KG Tomahawks l'm cooking for my and my son Xmas dinner today (we always do it early bc we are busy Xmas day) problem is l've never cooked them before and l am intimidated by their size. l normal cook ribeye for about 8mims turning every 30 seconds in a hottt pan.

these will not go in a pan and will require oven cooking.

PLEASE HELPPPPP......

Tricky one, I would still go for the pan (assuming the bbq option is out). Season well before cooking, wrap some tinfoil round the protruding bone (you may have to trim to make enough of a handle). Heat the pan/skillet to the usual rib eye temp and then cook as you would a rib eye using the bone handle to press the steak against the pan surface wear some heat proof gloves till cooked and then let the steaks rest then enjoy.

You could always trim them off the bone and cook as a rib eye, I would get the bbq out if they are that big. Cook everything on there including the veggies.

Fucking hell @Monty Burns. I thought we'd signed a statement goal machine from the MLS.

"That was 'Statement goal machine' with their debut single 'MLS', as a Liverpool fan we don't need a statement goal machine as we've had several in my time, still a very catchy song though. Now here's the latest single from 'The Fall'"

Tomahawk steaks does sound like a good name for a niche indie band.
