Can't seem to find the date for the replay.
Would have thought it'll be Tuesday 26th February but the website's just put up ticket news for PNE on that date?

Kit B - A popular re-make of the kit from 2001-2002
Would love this with blue sleeves. And maybe a slightly darker shade of blue.

Why is Taylor facing back towards the halfway line when Kuqi steps up for the penalty? Why not face goal and be ready for a rebound?

The lad's an absolute embarrasment. He acts like a tough guy when he's having a go at the ref or a linesman, but all you have to do is watch him when he goes up for a header to see what a coward he is.
He needs to be dropped. He can't pass, he can't cross and he can't take on a man. Black back at left back, Lee back at right back, Adeyemi on the right.

I remember that game, that was the first Latics match that I saw TV highlights of. It was recorded and I watched it over and over again.
The reason I was interested is that it was the first match I ever went to.

According to soccerbase attendance was 7683
Thanks!
-
Anyone able to confirm the attendance?
-
though the fact that Carbrini use the exact same design for a number of clubs would mean they could use it numerous times.
Anyone notice the shirt Gregan's wearing is a different design (look at the collar, for instance) to the one he's holding above his head?

How far is it (walking distance) roughly from the nearest train station to the ground?
Nussul
I still maintain the best plan for travelling fans is to get the train to Manchester Piccadilly, then get the 24, 181 or 182 bus from Piccadilly Bus Station to Boundary Park.

Yes!! I'm getting this one, I haven't bought one for ages. Does anyone remember how much letters and numbers are on the kit? Thanks
Pete
Letters are 75p each, numbers are £3.50 per digit and the Coca Cola badges are £2.50 each.

Penalty looks soft.
Got to admit, I'd have given it. Stupid thing to do in the penalty area, as far as I'm concerned.

Two thinks that wind me up, and I know they really shouldn't...
1. When a shot goes high or wide and the opposition fans jeer, the commentator always talks about "ironic cheers". They are not ironic cheers, they are sarcastic cheers.
2. Also on the subject of commentators, anyone ever noticed how many call Wayne Rooney "Rayne Wooney"?

Just thought I'd pop this up. We've got a couple of posh blokes with a gadget that do these on our away trips and they're always worth a watch. Try to view it reasonably quickly, as YouTube are known to remove them occasionally.
We ran out of pies, too

Singing "your support is f**kin sh*t" was utterly cringe worthy.
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. Got to be the most moronic chant in football.

Hallworth sat there moaning and being miserable.
Once served Jon Hallworth when I worked at Comet. I also found him to be a bit rude and miserable.

Why not have a presence in Morrisons, Azda, or Tesco's...every single family makes at least one trip a week to the local supermarket. If the outlet ties ticket offers into selected products or customers spend then it may cost the club little or nothing at all!!
I remember at Boothferry Park, Hull's club shop was in Kwik Save!
-
do you think the club needs a presence in the town centre....like a one stop latics shop.....that basically sells kit and everything else latics related..
We've had them in the past and they failed, didn't they?
Had a concession in Littlewoods in the early 90s, and a Latique shop where The Works is/was now.

Thanks lads and lasses for entertaining me during my lunch hour.
For those who didn't notice...
For starters, the club's statement last week on standing and swearing.
If Shez can't see Lidds is past it, he's the wrong man for the job.
Silly notions that we're going up when we've been very lucky so far this season...we're going nowhere.
Having to watch football at what is now a 3-sided dump.
If the club thinks I'm spending money on yet another new shirt, they're very much mistaken.
Neal Eardley...3m? Come off it...he's gash (did you see him on Weds?), ship him out.
Groaning, groaning, groaning. All you get at BP. Fed up of it.
See you at BP tomorrow, I'll be the one carrying the big net.
Dammit. That's what I get for not reading the whole thread first!

Pot, kettle, black, anyone?!

Does anyone know if this book is available at the club shop yet ?
Yes it is, I was in there this morning. Waterstone's in the Spindles have it, too.
Anyone tell the difference between this and Latics Lads, by the same author?
-
Get the in!
Ha ha, that was my first thought, too!

Leeds are on immense form this season. We haven't lost one game starting the pre season and Jermaine Beckford is on fire. Ok we beat Chester who had also been beaten 6-0 by Dag but the quality of Beckfords goals have stirred up discussion not only in the championship but by premierleague fans too(check the MAD boards out).
We have now the best team in the league, we play passing football as opposed to Dennis Wise's hoofball and we are looking very good.
I cant wait for us to rip you apart tomorrow.
My verdict
Leeds United 4 Oldham 0

I voted for it to be our "coming out" music, but didn't feel it rousing enough and wonder what everybody else thinks.
Agreed.
Should have been an option to vote for The A team theme.
-
They would probably sell well, but could you honestly see us getting Kieran Lee if that tee shirt had been put out? Definatly not the best idea for Links between the two clubs. We actually have a really good relationship with United over the years.
Seem to remember us giving you and dad a bit of stick at the Ernie game for being closet reds. Think you're fueling the fire, here, Phill!
Iwelumo, get out of our club.

I hate to take anything negative away from tonight but I have to agree about Iwelumo.
I wasn't at the MK Dons game so didn't see him score, but I thought he was a waste of space in the two Everton games and against Portsmouth. Lack of effort is dead right in my opinion. He doesn't look interested, and the quickest I've seen him move so far is when he was subbed in the first Everton game. He looked like he couldn't wait to get of the pitch.
I just can't see what he's going to bring to this team, and fourteen other clubs previously look to have come to the same conclusion.
