Heard today off a professional footballer in the lower leagues that Dickov is off to Doncaster. Not sure how reliable this is, but if it proved correct would you be sad to see him go? I personally don't think he has done anything with us that would cause Donny to want him and I wouldn't be that disappointed to see him go.

Guees its a step up for Dickov though.

Yes I think a lot of opposition goalkeppers think that we are clapping him when really we're clapping our own side coming out for the 2nd half!

If Whaley signs he will at least provide decent crosses for our front 2, we have not had a winger who can cross a decent ball since Eyrsey

Its almost impossible to find a fan who attends a game to say positive things about the ref.

 

Have you ever been to a neutral game? You'll be amazed by some of the decisions that 'biased' supporters howl at that are absolutely spot on.

 

'Bad' decisions etc are good for the atmosphere of the game and for talking points / discussions afterwards. We won, and as long as the big decisions are right, the odd thrwo-in or free-kick is fine in my opinion.

Agree with a lot on this thread but Taylor looks hugely unsettled to me and has done the last 2/3 games. I'm sure theres something happening hes normally picking the ball up and driving at the opposition and in his body language he looks frustrated and not all there to me??

To be fair to him, when your double and sometimes treble marked everytime you get the ball there's not much you can do. Teams have sussed out that if they mark Taylor out of the game were not going to create much, as was very evident today.

Again Taylor main transfer news with Sheff Utd leading the race for 1million rated Taylor. I think if TTA receive 1million Taylor will go in January and that would be a massive blow we have more chance of keeping Hughes as I can't see Donny or any other Championship club paying 400k for a player who they could take on a free in May.

 

Time for Shez to get a list of wide midfielders I think how much would be in his budget would we be able to get Simon Hackney from Carlisle??? and would we also be able to replace Danny Jones who looks like he will be out for a long spell

If we were to lose taylor I would swoop for Tommy Rowe from Stockport. Very talented left winger and I doubt would cost more than 250k.

I was optimistic until I read that.

Don't forget we gave a trial to Sami Hyypia before he moved on to Liverpool! There's still hope yet!!!! :-)

I personally would like to see Byrne in at centre half in place of Stam and Stephens given a run out in the centre. We've no excuse not to play him now because the tribunal fee has been set! LOL. Think Lewis should be rested and I don't think it would be his type of game as I expect a very physical local derby and Lewis gets pushed off the ball too easily!

Smalley and O'Grady to come on for their usual 10 minutes at the end of the game!

I thought there was a good atmosphere in the away end. We never play well at Vale so it used to be very flat, but we did make quite a lot of noise and acoustics helped us. Plus the abysmal home support of less than 3000 who never got behind their team even when they were pressing us for a large part of second half.

OTT policing I thought - did they escort our fans all the way from Stoke station 4 miles away?

I was disappointed with only 785. Think we've acheived well over a 1000 in previous seasons although I could be proved wrong! Awful performance, smash and grab 3-0 win (if thats possible!!).
