One thing that baffles me is why was :censored: on the bench after a solid game at Stockport. I cannot understand why he is being consistently overlooked for in my humble opinion - Gregan appart- he was our most consistent performer in the first half of the season.
-
Fully agree with that report I too had an enjoyable afternoon. One player who did impress though was the 32 will atkinson who seemed a very intelligent and effective wide midfielder.

I might pay Royle Army to post up that Keeley Hazell and Salma Hayek are on their way round to my place as we speak to ask me to settle their bet about who gives the best head, and are willing to pay for my time with unlimited beer and sex afterwards.
Thanks for reminding me why I do not post on here anymore !!!

BY ECK JAZZY WHAT ON EARTHS GOING ON YOU READING OXFORD GRADUATE PAPERS - I WILL HAVE TO HAVE WORDS AT ST HERBERTS TOMMORROW NIGHT AROUND 11 OR ARE YOU NOT GOING BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO WORK OUT YOUR ATTACKING FORMULAS FOR SATURDAY AFTERNOON - I NEVER REALISED PROMOTION WAS SUCH A COMPLICATED AFFAIR
-
that brings back some good times playing for hulmiens 4th team pissed up now them where proper amateur games
Hi Jazzy ow about a multi talented left sided midfielder/defender done tours in Brighton / Newquay and most recently Benidorm.

Doncaster have an owner who has been prepared to sink millions of pounds into them. Which you don't want to have at Oldham. We have been round and round this so many times, why don't you either put a sock in it or give us some ideas? We aren't generally defeatist, look at any pre season predictions and you'll see that most of us expect better than we achieve. We are looking up, we just aren't good enough to storm the League given our resources and we don't have a big capitalist entrepreneur who is willing to shell out what it would take to give us a bigger chance of promotion. You really do spout a pile of arrant to put some sort of intellectual framework around the fact that you just like to be a miserable .
Do we really need such bile on this site

How can you say Fleming. Only 3 in the wall for the free-kick and beaten at the near post for the second !

car full going from delph.
did nt know you needed to have a ticket is that so, please confirm

Not like Diggle then, which carries the anonimity you usually associate with a large capital city
- thanks for reminding me why i do not post on here very often

I think it would take a lot for hughes to move. He has recently bought a house in diggle he has a new girlfriend and really enjoys the easy going social scene in the area and seems genuinely pleased how people have taken to him, Doncaster is a real backwater miles from anywhere and I would imagine something of a goldfish bowl where everyone knows each other - not particularly easy for someone with his history.
Also you have to remember that cartax may have a say in the matter.

Yes but Shez, dux and TW prefer to have Byfield's missus around the place Davies out
For me it's a no brainer, Davies back in and up front with Hughes' - however the Jan transfer window may have somethiong to say about it. Though if we do sell Hughes, then I think that says a lot about our real desire to win promotion!!
Davies all day for me - looks like the break away from bp has done his confidence a world of good - don't always beleive rumours. Exactly what date is he due back?
-
Often seems that Shez changes things later than he should - but it worked out fine in the end. I just wonder if he would be better off sitting next to me - then he might benefit from my view (and viewing) point
The one substitution he did get wrong was not to make one in the 91st minute. Lomax or Liddel over on the far touch line take 30 seconds to walk off.

We have 34 points from 18 games, at that points per game rate we'd finish on 87 (86.89) points. You'd hope we'd be 2nd with that points total.
scunny have gone from 1st to 6th in 4 days now thats a sickener tee-hee

There's been little wrong with Hughes style of play during the 'drought'.
He's worked his knackers off, had a couple of perfectly good goals disallowed and got himself in the right positions more often than not.
It was only a matter of time before he delivered again.
thought he had a very average game tonight and bags 2 thats the man onwards and upwards
-
Tonight you saw a big difference in class in our 2 full backs.
Jones was as good as Lomax was average - bring back Eardley
-
So ever RELIABLE Stam gets ....... off - good management I do not think
-
He plays with emmense passion ffs better that than apathy our best forward for some seasons and top entertainment.
-
Hopefully the 2 differing parties have come to a peaceful conclusion. Perhaps best if they keep their little differences to out of the public domain in future.
-
pretty fickle the lot of you, do not confuse passion with disdain and inability
-
He also says "I think a lot of people believe we can do well this season, and I'm glad they do, but they are frustrated with one or two results."
However, he fails to mention that people are also dumbfounded at
- his decisions to loan out two perfectly good strikers - one of which was our leading goalscorer last season - when the other options are quite frankly not working;
- allowing one of these to get cup tied;
- not filling the bench with the number of players we were allowed to in the FA Cup;
- leaving our only current full international player on the bench - despite him being an ever present when we had a solid looking defence earlier in the season.
So in my view, he doesn't share our pain. Perhaps he should firstly read this messageboard and then, during his next Annual Appraisal, ask to be sent on a Man Management Training Course.
He still has my support, but I cannot believe that we let Davies go out on loan and get cup tied.
I think this post sums up most peoples feelings perfectly

Great signing! we are already the leagues top scorers but take hughes's 6 out of the equation and only alessandra has scored - over 2 months ago - from our collection of current strikers. That statistic is not good reading particularly for O'Grady (Davies has some excuses due to the fact he has been suspended). Think what it could be like with 2 quality scorers
-
I can see him being on the bench on Sunday, as Hughes is doubtful and I would reckon on Davies being unavailible. If he gets on and does some stuff he'll stay there for a bit, if not it will be back to the reserves/loan but I like the idea of having 5 strikers at the club as it means if two are unavailible we know we have at least someone on the bench. Davies has got the quality that Wolfy hasn't no matter how much difference in effort there is. I think Wolfy has not quite got what it takes at the level we are at and definatley at the level we are aiming for, but I think he could be a useful player for some of the teams in League 2/conference but at this level he is no more than a bit part member of the squad.
5 strikers yes - but 8 games in only 1 has scored !!!!!!!
-
As of lunchtime today (wednesday) there is only seats behind the goal available heres praying for a dry night.
-
I think that to even suggest that a loyal Oldham lad who was brought up in the town and has SUPPORTED the team before playing for it - and whose father follows the team home and away( with a Tangerine shirt with Taylor on the back), should do a Porter is a real insult to him.
well done david penny

Fully agree - most dont even bother posting on here either as all they get is smartarse comments from the "big dozen" posters who seem to think that they hold council on the future of our club, without some of them (you) even going.
Remember that through thick and thin means just that.
