  1. Just been for a curry at the new indian restaurant in chadderton called Indish which opened tonight, and sat down only to see Big Joe on the next table with Alan Hardy and some family members, so after the meal the waiter asked if we wanted to have a picture with him for the website, and i have to say wha a nice bloke, was speaking to him a good 5 mins and he was very open and upfront bout things, he mentioned that he is gutted to be leaving but it is the right decision, that he has sorted the club out in many ways and kind of got things to normality, when asked about lee hughes, he said not sayin anything but i knew within 2 days that he wasnt right for the club, also said he highly rates Kieran Lee and that he never gives ball away just says his fitness is a problem at min said brook is best finisher at the club and he has a better finish than hughes, he said he doesnt think maher will be here next year, that gregan is good player but doesnt think the new manager fancies him same with kieran lee as he likes big bruisers, he thinks jones is good but thick lol doesnt take things on board, stephens is great but fitness again is issue with no reserves this year, said Hazell was playin well but cost us few goals as of late, so basically said the fitness has suffered due to reserves and also rugby fuked up the pitch and wont be playin next year.

he also mentioned the walsall game said that the fans were superb and that he loved some of the costume, he said they were discussin the Rubix Cube over the meal lol and said he will be here alot next season to watch them. think i have covered everythin lol.

  2. That bloke was a complete tit. It happened when Hughes made that awful pass from their half, back towards the halfway line and put them straight on the attack 2 against 2. Shez had every reason to have a go. The bloke in question was sat a few seats away from me and must have felt like a right tvvat coz we all laughed out loud when Shez had a go back. I wouldnt worry about it, Shez is a tough lad and can handle himself in a row. I would rather have that than someone like Ronnie tosspot who always had a go back in the paper................ :censored: house................ HOOF

Yeah i was sat in front of him me and my dad were cringing, but he did feel a knob after never heard him throughout the game afterwards, just shows some people are never happy.

  3. Dont know if anyone on here heard or saw it but i was sat in the main stand paddock yesterday with my dad and was suprised to see a fan shout over to shez to stop bollocking hughes, Shez then looked over and shouted back oh its never hughes fault sit down and watch the game to which the man replied of shut up you f ing nob ed, i was quite shocked this shouldnt be happening between managers and fans when we are 3rd in the league lol crossley and tommy wright looked quite embarrassed as did the stockport bench lol

  4. Think we'll get a 2-2 draw though which will be alright. We do alright against the good teams, seem to raise our game. Should we lose I won't be too bothered, it's the next two home games where anything less than 6 points is unacceptable.

But yeah, I reckon 2-2 with Windass getting both.

Should also be noted that Scunny haven't not scored a goal at home since 12th Feb 2008, 25 matches in a row they've scored at home.

Ill go for 1-0 Latics with Allott getting a scrappy goal.

  5. Just found this on News now website on football transfers.

Sean O'Driscoll has confirmed that Rovers have been given permission to begin talks over the posible signing of Lee Hughes from Oldham Athletic.

Speaking after the FA Cup 3rd Round replay win against Cheltenham Town, the Rovers boss confirmed that the club were in talks with Hughes, who is out of contract at Oldham at the end of the season.

"Our problem has been scoring goals and we're in the market for a striker," O'Driscoll said.

"The Lee Hughes move is ongoing. He's out of contract at the end of the season.

"We've got permission to speak to Lee and it is ongoing."

  6. Agreed in part...but given the dearth of successful teams in the area I'd expect Swindon to have more fans than us in general. In fact, given the dearth of teams around them, they may be wondering how they don't pull in more.

Actually, scratch that...given their league position then it's fair enough. If they were flying high they'd probably expect more. I'd say 6k would be about right...especially bearing in mind another couple of hundred probably don't make the game trying to negotiate the Magic Roundabout...

Think Latics really need to look at the cheaper season ticket route next season works a treat at Huddersfield and Bradford.

  7. Taylor has done nothing since Lomax has been on his side. Lomax doesnt get forward at all and therefore both wide men for the oppo can team up on Taylor, who tbh isnt good enough to beat 2 players. When jones played he dragged the winger so taylor had one man to get at and he occasionally beat them.

As for Andy Liddell, Id be telling him its time to retire. Why on earth would Sheridan waste a substitute by putting Liddell and Smalley on the bench when clearly only 1 will get on and it aint gonna be Smalley.

Agree with most of that to be honest, Lomax is not good enough, he doesnt seem strong enough and 9 times out of 10 gets skinned, think Hazell and greegs were superb, eardley was ok, flemming very good kept us in it at times, whitaker none existant dont think he added anything, god knows why lee was dropped, allott was average, taylor quiet again think somethings on his mind, thought Byfield did ok at holding it up but didnt get much help, Hughes looked lazy and not interested, maher looked ok keeps it ticking in midfield.

    3 points vital against Hartlepool.
