Alan Hardy has probably had more bad press than anyone to do with our football club (amongst the fans) but he has always given his all for the club. He has, doubtlessly, been well remunerated for his work but the hours he puts in have been above and beyond the call of duty. Without him, I suspect the club would not be here.

 

It should never be forgotten that Alan was the one person to stand up to Chris Moore and was suspended for it.

 

His openness with fans has also been a breath of fresh air. I don't think there can possibly be another club in the country where a fan can email the chief exec with a genuine query or concern about something within the club and expect a reply within a day or two. With Alan, that is just what you got.

I don't post here much, but I do read a lot of posts and after reading this I just wanted to say, I went to pick up a new Latics kit for my 2 year old son but the shop had closed a few minutes earlier, so I sent an e-mail to Alan explaining I couldn't find the opening times on the website for the shop and that I was looking for a kit, he called me within an hour to help me out and even went to the shop and checked stock. He has my total respect for this, and he is truly an Oldham fan through and through, I wish him well! =)

Sorry but anyone who uses Norton asks for a problem. It used to be a quality product back in days of coal fired PCs but it is now owned by PC WORLD and a waste of space literally and figuritively. AVG good. I use McAfee and its fine on a BT account.

 

Any product from PC World is generally crap. ie Philips PCs seeing as Philips dont make them just sell the name to brand a PC World product.

Just to clear something up, even though I agree Norton is a waste of space these days, PC world do not own it and never will. PC World are paid to promote and sell the product on behalf of Norton themselves

Otherwise personally I use Avast and have no issues at all

I don't write alot of the forum, but read nearly every post on here. To be honest It's all becoming laughable, the team just sound like they haven't got it in them to even challenge the teams we're playing every week. I don't get how Hines played instead of Stam, when at least Stam & Gregan have played together before. I really hope we can sort this out. I'm not shouting for Shez to be sacked etc.. but after the last couple of weeks, It's just not funny anymore!

Don't mean to be rude, but I lived in Oldham for 17 years and moved to the Wirral about 5 years ago and its a far far better place than Oldham will ever be, don't get me wrong I support Oldham Athletic through & through.. but at least I can walk the streets here knowing I'm not going to get stabbed or attacked.... though I suppose everywhere had its bad parts...

I actually clicked on this thread and thought the game was off, the rain hasn't stopped here all day in Birkenhead.... then I saw what you wrote and just laughed lol.... people really do need a humour bone at times....

I normally get off at Birkenhead Central and walk up (avoid the carlton Pub on your right hand side) or get off at Hamilton Square i think its called get the soccer bus.

Yeah Birkenhead Central is another shout... I do believe they cancelled the soccer bus now though, so wouldn't get off a hamiton square lol

I'm thinking of going over tomorrow from Manchester.

 

I'm not that bothered about paying more on the day but will I be able to get tickets there? Also, how easy is it to get there from Lime Street? any ideas on buses e.t.c?

Yo I currently live in Bebington, which is a stones throw from Tranmere.. get off at lime street and get on the merseyrail towards chester/Ellesmere Port and get off either Rock Ferry or Bebington, if you get off a bebington, theres a taxi tank opposite 0151645 5818 will cost about 3-4 quid to get to the ground... hope that helps...

Well Normally the transfer deadline day is 31st August, it's only recently in the last couple of weeks that they changed the day to 1st Sept, because 31st Aug landed on a sunday. I can only think the course was arranged way in advance.... :S

The only joy of having to live in the Wirral.... I can just walk down to the ground... Then again have to convince the Missus to let me go ...

I don't think this has been mentioned but now that we sponsored by JD/Carbrini and all home shirts have Hillstone on the front, will they be changed ??

I believe the club are having a new kit made, same design just with the Carbrini logo instead of hillstone... Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Also heard it comes from China.. so it might not be here in time for the Millwall game
