  1. Of course you're right about the fans being the victims.

What this does prove is that if you can't pay all your debts, you must make sure that HMRC is satisfed with the level of your payments. Every fan knows that in his or her own financial affairs and every business knows it too, but there will always be some businessmen who try to beat the system.

But isn't that the crux of the whole matter and Ken Bates's argument. In an attempt to satisfy the tax man they couldn't go down the CVA route, hence the leagues "special circumstances" in allowing Leeds their share back. Anyway you look at it I don't think its right to penalise the fans. What can they do?

  2. Prediction number 1 comes in!

Great result. The more I am away from the PC, the more my confidence wavers. However, coming back on here and seeing the levels of confidence can't help but boost mine. I am so up for this game now. Thanks Lads. I promise not to loose faith in the boys today. Although I will still be screaming at the ref regardless.

  3. The big difference for me between the two sides is pace. Andrews, for all his faults had plenty of pace that terrified all defenders he faced. He also seemed to win a fair few free kicks for us. Todays side doesnt have pace up front or at the back.

  4. Right fellow Latics fans. I need your help! The choice of where I watch the game is vital to Oldham's chances of going to Wembley. I am sure that if I watch from a "Lucky" bar then Latics cannot fail in turning over the lashers. However, choosing the wrong one will be fatal. I have identifed a number of locations but don't want to take responsibility for Latics fate. Problem shared a problem halved and all that. So, the runners and riders are:

    1) Bitter & Twisted

Everton fans run this bar which has success this season with the FA cup win. B&T also for Blue & Tangerine? Maybe.

    2) The DB's

Refers to the Dogs bits. The only bar I can think of with a loose "Yard dog" connection. Geordie owned.

    3) Blue Med

Sticking with the "Blue" for Latics. Not a hint of tangerine to be found in the bar.

    4) Copacabana

Who believes in omens and the like? This is where I watched us lose the 1st leg. Avoid at all cost?

    5) El Bosque

Billed as "The best Sports Bar" in town. Never been. "El Bosque" means "The Forest". Possible connection to who awaits Latics?

Thanks in Advance and "Keep the Faith".

  5. Dé la bienvenida en, tiene por favor a un carniceros en las órdenes y pautas - y si hay algo más da por favor uno de nosotros un grito.

    :thumb08:

"Un carniceros"! Quality. A new phrase I will be trying out on the locals. muchas gracias!

  6. Amigo bienvenido. Siempre bueno para otro Latic para unirnos de la tierra de Diego Cervero. Viva Latics.

muchas gracias Diego. deberia hablar espanol mejor pero soy tonto. vine aqui hace casi dos anos y todavia no he visto Snr Cervero. Vivo en esperanza!
