We ain't getting a fee for Maouche don't worry about that.

That said he has had a very good half of football.

We've been pretty good overall. We need to wary of set pieces.

Maybe Nepo, Edmondson, and we never know what diamonds in the rough he could bring to the club, hes not been tested with transfer situations like that yet, all the same still a shit owner thus far!

  2. Duck these keyboard warriors Westy, you do what you feel needs to be done and keep going, if any of these idiots got of there keyboards and went to the meeting or protest then listen to them.

Your giving the guy :censored: when he got off his arse and did something about it and giving it him for having his opinion, he went to the meeting he's allowed it. You behind your desks or phones its your opinion you my friends can suck one

  3. Everything to the with the club screams Conference football, were punching above our weight and have since the late eighties on the famous run up to the glory years , we should count ourselves lucky to be in division three

We've dropped a level every year since Dowie left or imo Chris Moore's money we'd get eaten alive in the Championship, what do people expect honestly?

Sheridan wasn't getting us up this year or next or anytime soon after, there are managers out there who would love to take over one of the top 70 teams in the country,

What we don't have is a money bags chairman, what we do have is a phone salesman and a prison officer or whatever making football decisions,

I like Corney and everything he has done for the club but he's a phone salesman.

There is no one around him football minded maybe only Philiskirk but he's a kids coach

We're not getting a money bags in the near future

We live in between too of the biggest clubs in Europe and rather than that hinder us we should try and find away to make it a positive somehow

  4. Thought Wes was MOM and along with Adeyemi they bossed the middle

The Backs dint really have much to do along with Cisak

Simpson and Scapuzzi was our outlets.

Good to see Parker back some good touches maybe a little jaded towards the end

Kuqi over tried a little to much but great header

Apart from that Bradford were poor at the back the kid upfront for them did alright till he was brought of

Jones should have walked first half for em and the ref was :censored:

All in all good result and quite comfortable

  5. I trained with latics in 04 Gareth Owen was on loan we had Haining and Beharall Clegg Holden and Tierney obviously not together it was the squad at the time how Clegg ever got a contract anywhere is beyond me Owen was the better of the centre halfs we also had Ernie and Boshell With Muzza and Eyre and Eyresy Boshell the same how he played I don't know, up front was Vernon(has got to be the most natural finisher ive seen) left foot right foot he was hitting them metal dummies (you know the ones for trainig) smack in the face ten times out of ten fantastic finisher he was with Killen who was absoulutley doggy close up, comin thru was Roca Barlow and Wolfy. Dowie had just quit for palace he got me in on a trial then told me on the Sun he wouldnt be there but to still turn up anyway Shez was a tosser from day one he was caretaker i told him i was gonna rob his car he was winding me up cause he thought bein from oldham thats what we do Eyersy was a true gent and better than shez he got more respect of everyone else The new owners come in brought Talbot in and he dint even talk to me old :censored: deserved what he got went back to work and still at it the morale of the story is Clegg was :censored:

  7. A few stand out for me (some which are very very obscure I will admit)

    Martin Taylor

    November 1999: Oldham 2-2 Wycombe

Steve Whitehall nicked a last minute equaliser for us but Wycombe's keeper Martin Taylor played an absolute blinder. We absolutely bombarded them with everything, chucked the kitchen sink at them, but couldnt get past him. Single handedly kept them in the game. And they nearly nicked it too, scoring in the 88th minute.

    Rob Hulse

    January 2003: Oldham 1-3 Crewe

Despite the fact we lost Fitz Hall very early on in the game, remember this one and Hulse was outstanding, although remember Dean Ashton coming on and scoring a blinder with more or less his first touch.

    Andy Campbell

    March 2002: Oldham 1-7 Cardiff

Got a hatrick and we couldnt handle him, enough said really

Was at that game the best player i've seen at Boundary Park think he scored a couple remember him being unplayable though

  8. There MUST be a school or college in the Oldham area that has BOTH of these items that could be loaned out to the club, maybe in return for a supply of tickets to be handed out to the pupils/students so they can attend one of the remaining games at BP?

Emailed Mr H with my suggestions, will keep you informed of any response!

    Im on tenterhooks cant wait

  9. I think the best thing to happen to us would be to get relegated we been in this league to long were not going to get promoted from it we been trying for what 10 yrs or summat were never gonna buy the league like the big boys do we don't have a big enough club what we do have is a good history and great traditions.

So we get relegated there's far worse things going on in this world to put football into real perspective

My opinion and only an opinion is if the club went down there's room to consolidate regroup and start the club off again our budget wouldn't be as bad as others we have a solid hardcore of supporters who wouldn't desert us even in the harshest of circumstances and once we get our feet into it we can start building back up again hopefully the fans start flooding back football might start getting back to what it was and then when we get promoted back and have that experience behind us we'll hit this league running and do a Wigan or Doncaster

I'm to much of an optimised to think this club will die.

  10. A surveyor’s report valued the 11.75 acres of land to the North of the Lancaster Club at £60,000, the 13 acres of land at Medlock Vale at £72,000 and the 12.61 acres of land at Warwick Road at £100,000 - giving the charity an increase in value of £112,000.

    Taken from the Chron

So thats 11.75 acres that is held by a charitable trust (i think?) leaving us with 18.25 acres.. The stadium would be a 10 acre site - including conference facilities etc inside.. leaving us with 8.25 acres for other areas to bring in revenue..

Give this guy a job hes just thought of the perfect original idea :applause1: give yourself a clap son

  11. Why do people say they would make do with a groundshare with Rochdale at Spotland but they wont travel a couple of minutes down one rd from the current home to a brand spanking shiny and new stadium which will at one time or another be self funded and keep the footy club running, ok so its not exactly in the centre of oldham but its all weve got were not gonna gain any new support by playing at Rochdale or Bury or anyone for that matter they are gonna support the big boys or there local team if kids around failsworth wanna support City or Utd let them theres enough Oldham fans in Oldham when they see the new ground they might get hooked (again) , Theres to much doom and gloom around the club we could be worse off we might be in the future but right now on the football side we doin ok were playing good football weve got a good management team who seem hungry and we are seventh and five points off top who would have predicted that at the start of the season

Lets get arses on seats and cheer the blue army on once again Keep The Faith (and smile :-)
