  1. I don't want spittle-mouthed opinions from either side of the fence tbh, and felt on reflection (and a fast forward through the match recording) even my own feelings on Saturday were maybe a bit OTT (perhaps the lack of attacking intent maybe explained by losing most of our midfield).  But there's no point having opposing opinions on if they are just talked over or the subject changed.  Seems like the "it will be good to just be on and having a debate about the match" a year or so ago to "how dare you question the manager".

The best bit was - to paraphrase - they know f all about football - closely followed by Matt handing out some finishing advice to Norwood.

  2. 'Tunniclife is comfortable playing in a role that sees him just in front of the defence'.

If that means we have someone to take the ball off Raglan and Hogan and progress it then that would be great - was easy for Halifax to retreat to the half way line and let Hogan / Raglan try to find Kitchen or Freeman with no space for them move.  The fact a change wasn't made on Tuesday (or not one that seemed to have any effect) was what peed me off the most.

Why...how many devices do you want to watch it on? You can watch it on any device but only on one at any one time.

Most services you sign up to (thinking of Deeper, Napster, Spotify etc) don't make you log out on your laptop to use on your phone.  What if you are away from home and can't log out?  If it was just one user at a time actively streaming then can't argue with that.....

  4. Thought thats the way the world worked? My work Dont give a :censored: about H&S till someones been trapped in a machine!

Just find it amazing that flares and such like must be making an appearance at 20 plus grounds in the UK every single weekend and yet nothing reported?

Has anyone been injured in Poland or Germany?

If someone can point me towards somemsort of stats ill happily take it back.

This guy got a shock....not sure of the injuries

  5. Allocations being reduced and games being made all ticket. We are OAFC not Millwall for :censored:s sake.

You wouldn't have thought so with all those horses outside :-0 I think someone is mistaking us for Millwall or the local constabulary took the opportunity for a bit of overtime. I'm sure there's more trouble on the average weekend night in Blackpool than there would ever be at the game yesterday.

  6. Break you're journey up with advance singles and it's available fo £22.50.

Aye but then I'd have to be sure of making a connection after one or two too many sherbets! Especially as the cheapest train is, I think, 8 in the morning!

  7. 2nd time this season I've made a 100+ round mile trip for nothing.

And this time some toe-rag shut the back route through broadbottom so my one hour fifteen journey became two and a half hours! Just called off as i hit broadway. Worse still were going to end up with lots of Tuesday nights. Not so easy as I work in Nottingham. Grrrrr

  8. You can't really knock Dunn.

We weren't that bad against a decent team. Cassidy and Poleon want sacking for missing their chances.

Most of the callers to BBC Sheff were asking for the managers head - some for a top to bottom clear-out. We were second best to a seriously out of form team. Poleon did what he usually does - created himself a chance and mis-controlled it away again. Cassidy had abysmal service all day - was a bit unlucky but probably just taken by surprise that a cross actually came in.

Until they had a man sent off we were awful. Afterwards we huffed and puffed with no real cutting edge.

  9. I didn't think Winch played at all well - too lightweight and made a few swan dives early on that made the ref look the other way when he was actually fouled. Was a bit better when they were down to 10 and he was under less pressure. Needs to eat nothing but protein shakes for the next six months. I expected him and Philli to come off. Preferably I'd have also took Mills rather than Yates off. Mills invariable tries to find the nearest opponent with the ball. I think he holds it up until they are in range deliberately. Probably why Cassidy missed - was in shock it got to him.

I'd normally stick up for Philli - definitely in the Ratboy bracket with a lot of fans. Can do no right. If he scored a brace he'd be criticised for not getting three and if he got a hat-trick - for not getting a perfect one (I know I'm in dreamland here).

  10. I assume that is a spoof interview? if he is actually pleased with today's efforts then he is even more clueless than I thought

Once again we fail to score, even against ten men for nearly 30 mins. We didn't have a shot on goal until well into the second half

Really depressing times and who knows what will happen in the January window

We hit the post in the first half!

But no killer ball even with all the possession after their moment of madness. At least the sending off raised the excitement level slightly. The players really don't seem to care. We don't argue if we get fouled. We don't harangue the ref when they time-waste. Every game recently has looked like a pre-season friendly. Something is terribly wrong behind the scenes. A Sheff U fan on their local radio show (most of the callers were grumbling about how crap they were) said he thought they needed a clear-out top to bottom - he wouldn't really mind about any player going. I feel the same.

  11. How many games does corney attend these days? Last time I know of him being there was Peterborough. I'm sure the main stand will make everyone else aware next time he's there

He's in for a lot of flack when he does bother to show his face

Out of interest though, why not want him out but only with a stable hand-over (i.e. the last option)?

  12. I think Higdon cleanly won two balls today. One went the way of anything he won at chesterfield - straight back to the defence. The other was a decent flick on. Given his size he was beaten to most headers when he came on. But, to balance the negative at least it gave their defence something to worry about. Dieng should be full-back or centre half.

We play at home with sloping shoulders and no enthusiasm. Yates run for the goal is about the only attacking throw I remember someone showing for. Most throwers are greeted with a maximum of two or three static players and it usually gets chucked back towards our goal.

I'm starting to think this is even worse than the days when our only attacks came from a Scott McNiven long cross from the half way line.
