The design of our new club brand was headed by life long Latics fan Ric Dennis, from Eden Design Solutions. Ric worked to the Board's vision to create a new, strong identity for the Club.

Alan Hardy, the Oldham Athletic Chief Executive, and the Latics Directors worked closely with Ric to choose a striking yet simple and modern design that still carries elements from the current crest and Latics proud history.

Alan said. "It has been a long and thorough process to come up with a new and easily recognisable image for the club, there have been many proposals and plenty of fine tuning and I would like to thank Ric from Eden for the patience and professionalism he has shown throughout this process".

The new crest will be introduced on the team's training wear and new away kit for the forthcoming 2011/12 campaign and will be phased in throughout the season across club merchandise and the Clubs Corporate Branding. It will then be brought onto the home and third kits for the following 2012/13 season.

Ric said "the new brand is such a big change from the original design which the large majority of Oldham fans, including myself, have grown up with that it is bound to be a big talking point. Being a Latics fan, I found the design process enjoyable and rewarding and I am going to be proud to see the design displayed on the shirts worn by both players and fans for years to come."

For the rest of this campaign and for the home kit next season the current crest will remain as a lasting memory of such a fantastic period in the history of Oldham Athletic, a period in which the club made two Wembley appearances.

There are still plenty of fantastic offers on merchandise carrying this crest, these mementoes can be picked up from the WE ARE LATICS official store.

  2. I was just watching an interview on YouTube involving him, he seems articulate, thoughtful and passionate about the game. I know you can't base, or even try, to predict the future by watching a video of a potential manager, it would be silly to do so. But there's a desire within him, and I'm sure a never die attitude also, he must have shown his vision for the club in this enthusiastic vein during the interview held by the club. He has beaten candidates of coaching experience, surely that is a great testament to the man himself? I also don't accept he was the cheap option.

  3. I believe Dickov will be a good appointment; I think his playing style will have a huge influence on his management which will be fantastic for us. I want to see an Oldham team full of energy, industry and enthusiasm, I believe Dickov can incorporate these attributes into his side. I really do hope the fans give him time and support him and his team.

  4. I know it can be pretty subjective when you're not a floating voter, but I thought Brown was dreadful tonight - again, but more so.

His scare tactics against both other opponents were uncovered as the lies they are, and "look at my record" isn't the best fallback position when his record is to have plunged us into the worst economic crisis in generations.

He's desperate, washed up and just about spent. Absolutely nothing left to offer.

It's brought it home to me that any result on Thursday that keeps Labour (and in particular Gordon Brown) in power in any form whatsoever will be an utter disaster for the country. They've had their 13 years and pissed it up the wall.

I hope and pray the final week of the campaign will see Labour's slump of the last two days continue, as those who'll be voting on Thursday finally realise the choice in front of them.

Rubbish, he was the only one who answered the questions with in-depth detail on how to combat the problems which society posed nowadays. David Cameron will ruin this country if he is elected; he has no answers to the people because he knows it won't benefit the ordinary working men and women of our Country.
