Great opening post - agree with the sentiment regarding LJ. He needs time and the two game massacre shouldn't take away from our decent start to the season. Current player desire has to be questioned after Sat though, the application shown against Crewe on Boxing Day will demonstrate whether the players care one jot.

Hope we go out on the front foot and not let two heavy defeats spoil our mindset. This is what happened in Dickov's tenure. If the feel good factor that was pervading the club is lost after these two last results that would be an undoubted shame - Friday is a bigger game than we could ever imagine in my view.

So it seems some of the team were still drunk that time we played Bournemouth away and were 3 0 down at half time!

As I have just posted on Twitter: If there are 5K home fans at tomorrow's massively important game, I'll make another one off donation to Player Share on top of my regular monthly payment. Very small gesture but every little helps.

An avid reader of OWTB and very rare poster. Just donated £10 as this is a very good cause - arguably more vital than PlayerShare which I also contribute to monthly. If we are to get more kids through the door it's at the start of this season - our promotion year. Sorry, don't know what came over me there - our gradual improvement season.

No worries Lags, although now you've said PlayerShare I remember it was related to that rather than the Trust. Computer games are not my bag either!

Months ago, out of the blue this lad asked me via Twitter if I knew anyone that could put together a poster to promote a Trust event he was organising at the Junction. Something about a FIFA computer game comp with proceeds going to the Trust. He came across as a rejuvenated Latics fan and said he had buy in for the event from Lags & Rick Attwood.

Anyhow, a poster etc was made due to my time and effort in copywriting etc and I sent it to him. He loved it but then it went quiet and I never heard about it again. This is obviously a lot tamer story than other things he's done but obviously now I realise he was having me for a fool. Sounds like he has mental issues and one would hope that in life, you reap what you sow.

Tarky, however much I like him is one of the weak links of the team at the mo which the oppo is exploiting. Whilst he has good feet with the ball and ok reading of game, he should be taken out of firing line for a bit. Certainly shouldn't be abused on Twitter, Just needs to rebuild confidence and be coached some more. Move Byrne in at CB & bring Brown in makes sense to me for now

My view from watching the game is that the Dongs didn't have to move out of 2nd gear. We looked leggy throughout & unfit, not tracking back or marking and it cost us. Massive improvement needed for Tuesday.

Thanks for mentioning Polyflor. I had contacted the club to say we are contributing £300 to give to schools, particularly mentioning schools near the recent bomb blast. Waiting for club to confirm how it will work.

Hi, to the company I work for I have just pitched the idea of donating an amount which can be converted to junior season tickets and then distributed out to local schools. Got the green light! Every little helps.
