People work hard all week. Spend the best part of £100 to witness that pile of steaming crap we had to endure yesterday. How can the supporters do their bit when we are 3 down in twenty minutes? How can the supporters do their bit when they are wondering WTF is going on? How can the supporters do their bit when they see a lack-lustre performance from every player on the field? How can they do their bit when the manager looks on passively throughout the car-crash performance we witnessed? How can the supporters do their bit when the captain throws his armband to the ground as they go off at half-time? How can the supporters do their bit when the same performance is repeated for the second 45 minutes? You're obsessed with quality of support etc... your average fan is more interested in seeing a team that performs, shows pride, passion and belief than singing inane, meaningless ditties that the players don't really hear anyway. It is 2008, football is an entertainment business - entertainment and atmosphere now go hand in hand and lets be honest, speaking to some younger fans it is plain to see any new song that is conjured is basically plagarised from the Prem. Boring and lacks identity, but anyway I digress, a team has to earn support imo, yesterday they did not deserve the support they got.

 

The supporters did not do their bit because we didn't have chance to! I think you are increasingly losing your grip on the reality of what it entails following an average 3rd Division Team. Any impact from the fans is at best minimal. You want to find a positive in anything ok.. Respect, but that shower yesterday deserved everything they got, justified or not.

 

And Sheridan if he had any sense of respect for the fans would have sent them all over to applaud the fans, times are hard and at the very least a little recognition for the hardy souls who braved that tripe until the bitter end.

You're just peeved cos you saw a poor performance and this minor lack of manners really means absolutely nothing.

I found it disagraceful how only 3 players came to clap the fans after that rubbish, likes of Hughes, Taylor, Windass straight down the tunnel, fans had made the trip all that way, spent lots of money, been embarrased by their team and most stayed til the end and the players cant even show their appreciation, its a disgrace just makes you think that they dont give a :censored:, which is exactly how they played.

It's crap how fans that actually want to go to the game, can't because the club refuses to provide adequate transport, no wonder we have so many stay away fans.

Liddell should be pen taker instead of Hughes, and pen stats should be higher, general appearance on a few players, perhaps include hughesys dance as a celebration. Ive noticed Jermaine Beckford is white so maybe that could be passed on. Crossley should appear fatter. Hughes' finishing should be higher. I'm sure Daniel Jones is classed as a RW on the game too.

I said it on Saturday and i`ll say it now ... Rubes should have done better for that goal (as immense as he was) he was at fault.

Stockport County's Chief Executive Mark Maguire has today said that the club won't stand in manager Jim Gannon's way if he wants to join Blackpool.

 

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News Maguire said 'Jim has an incredible record as a manager and I have spoken to Jim and made it clear that if he wants to further himself we will understand.'

 

'We all respect what he has achieved here, but if a club with a structure and finances that meet his ambitions comes in he will go with our blessing.'

 

The 40 year-old has been manager at Edgeley Park for three seasons, and in that time has spared The Hatters from relegation to the Conference, whilst last season leading his team to Playoff glory at Wembley.

 

In remarkable parallels to 'Pool's recently departed manager Simon Grayson, Gannon holds the County club record for consecutive wins - which stands at nine. Not only this, but the team didn't conceed a goal in that period, so hold the Football League record for consecutive clean sheets as well.

 

It is rumoured that the Stockport gaffer is on a shortlist of five at Bloomfield Road to replace Larry, but whether Blackpool have the structure and finances to meet Gannon's ambition is another question, with the stadium half built and training ground a mess.

 

His team currently sit 7th in League One, having defied all odds this season - keeping the pace with fellow promoted clubs MK Dons and Peterborough, and Gannon has also been linked with the vacant managerial post at Derby County.

Stockport are owned by their trust and they cannot put any money into the club, if they dont find some decent owners they will go in to administation, the problem being the trust are refusing to sell. Every county player is on the transfer list.
