  1. Couldn't believe it when my mate emailed me at work, I had to ring him to check his cryptic message was correct. Something about chippy, Isle of Man!!!!! Still don't believe that either. I'm absolutely chuffed to little mint balls that Greegs is back. I was jumping up and down for joy in the office, few strange looks it earned me too. He's slimmer, fitter and undoubtedly ready to go, to show all those who bad mouthed him at the end of last season that he's back fitter and better than before. As many have said before me today, he was the only player who played well towards the end of last season. Bring on 8th August 2009, I'll be there will bells on wearing my Gregan shirt!

  2. Is Gregan the stand in scapegoat while Eardley is away on international duty?

Well said LL. I'm sick to the back teeth of Gregan getting slaughtered, whilst there's other players who are just not pulling their weight. Eardley's a bloody joke, if he can play for Wales!!!!!! Sure Gregan's one of the older ones, but he puts his heart and soul into the game. And yes, he has off games but so does everyone else. Eardley most matches I'd say. :ranting:

  3. I find it worrying that people who used to go week in week out are turning their back on the club weather you like it or not the club needs people like harry

harry may I ask, if the club were to offer cheap season ticket deals like what Huddersfield and Bradford have done would that make you return?

Guys, guys stop the bickering it's not good for the blood pressure.

Sure we played rubbish yesterday, but surely you didn't expect JR to turn the team round in less than a week. Come on get realistic, he met the players on Monday and they've trained for however many days before Saturday. Do you really think a new manager can come in and turn things around in ONE game. Big Joe needs time to get to know the team, work out who plays well with each other, who understands each other etc etc.

So we might miss out this year, but I for one will certainly be renewing my season ticket. Stop booing the guys, get behind them. Is it any wonder that they're walking round with their heads down when all they can hear is the dross being shouted at them from the terraces.

    Had my say.

  4. Gregan played his heart out today, but had too much to do with Seb as a partner.

Thank goodness for that, thought I was the only Gregan fan on here. I agree, he played his socks off, why Sheridan didn't play Stam is beyond me!

  5. Dear Sean

I know you're married with kids, but if you ever split up I'll be waiting patiently at the other end of the M62, or in the Chaddy End at ALL home games.

    XXXXX

There you go, a little love letter to Greegs, who, may I add I happen to think is a quality player. Although if i'm honest, I doubt he'll re-sign for next season :-( :disappointed:

  6. 98% agree Carl have been a big Gregan fan (Greganator even) but his off field antics convince me hes on the slide. Would encourage Eardley and get rid of Lids.

We need a "BOSS" with discipline high on agenda and a tactical brain.

Agree with some, but I'd keep Gregan as I'm a big fan. He has his moments admittedly, but dont' we all.

Stam - Keep, he's good when he gets a game and is match fit.

    Hughes - Keep

    Taylor - Keep

  7. Really?!

Not overly sure what Lee Clarke's done either...a few good impact results followed by a slump which has seen them return to the bottom half. Just because he talks a good game doesn't make him a good manager.

Got back from Milton Keynes about 30 minutes ago. Just want to say that instead of booing Shez and the players we should be encouraging them. All that's happening when people boo the team are that they get even more disheartened, it doesn't lift them and encourage them, quite the opposite.

Shez will be here til the end of the season, then who knows? One of my only criticisms of Shez today is why the bloody hell didn't he play Stam. He's match fit now, plays well alongside Gregan and well, dare I say it, is miles better than Hines. My prediction for next season is that we won't have Stam, he's going to go. He was pissed off about not playing when I was talking to him at Belle Vue the other week, imagine how he must feel today. Poor bugger was warming up on the touchline for around 20minutes and still didn't get a game??????

Latics fans were arguing amongst themselves as to Sheridan's fate, and I was one of them. I'm in the let's support Sheridan team. Yes, we were dreadful, yes in my opinion his choice of team was wrong (see above) but for goodness sake, stop calling for his blood.

Oh and by the way, I WAS at Doggygate and guess what, I saw NO fighting or arguing amongst manager or players.

    SHERIDAN'S BLUE & WHITE ARMY.

WE LOVE YOU OLDHAM WE DO.

  8. Seconded. To be honest i don't care if the club are sweeping it under the carpet, i'm just glad it's over and dealt with and we can get back to concentrating to matters on the pitch. (well, some of us will).

I too am glad the whole blinking mess is over. I was there and saw nowt untoward happen, like I posted god knows how many pages ago, mountains have been made out of molehills. One fined, two disciplined or whatever, lets just draw a line under the whole bloody thing and now concentrate on staying in the play offs and then winning and ending up in the Championship.

I for one am going to Milton Keynes on Saturday with 2/3 mates, got me ticket on Wednesday. Can I also ask that people stop booing the players, yes sometimes they play rubbish, but booing them won't give them confidence quite the opposite. Get behind the boys and cheer them on.

Onward and upward. Championship here we come.

Oh, and stop taking the p*** out of Gregan's rear end, I happen to like it

  9. I've got one question for anyone who went to Belle Vue last Tuesday:

    Was Windass there?

This came on the day that his blog was released and so I cannot imagine for one minute that he was. His name was also never mentioned on here previously when incidents were referred to.

If Windass was not there, I don't see how we can take any of the comments from this 'journalist' seriously.

I was there on the night and didn't witness anything, but what I did notice was that Windass WASN'T there!!!!

  10. I was there on Tuesday night and didn't witness anything between Gregan and Taylor, and I was sat in the players lounge for around 30minutes talking to Gregan. Yes he was drunk, but we've all been there and done that. They were all on a night off and yes some of them did seem well oiled Gregan and Hughes especially, but I didn't witness anything untoward. Admittedly Gregan was stood outside on his own at the end of the night and then Hughesey and Greegs went round the corner from the door for a chat, but I was talking to Shezer and he seemed pretty cool and calm to me. As has been said before all will come out in the wash, although I'm sure it all amounts to nothing. But then again I am a huge Gregan fan and can see no wrong in him! :D
