  1. Being a bit naive about things, I've just Googled "Plenty of Fish".

Mrs o4u looked over my shoulder and asked a rather stern faced question.

Exactly, just like Chris' girlfriend would do!!

I don't get how people can come on here and tell out and out lies and defimate players characters (especially when it's got nothing to do with football) and get away with it :ranting: :ranting:

  2. Taylor is a given?! Pffft. Why should he be first name on the teamsheet? Having your car featured on the front page of maxpower magazine and being a member of plenty of fish says it all for me. Lets cash in on him before he kills matty d carr and carlton macintosh doing handbrakes on booths garden centre car park

You really don't like Chris do you! But can I ask do you know him? Or is it some other Chris Taylor? You say he drives a lowered Audi TT - He doesn't!

You say he is a member of Plenty of Fish - He isn't!

You say he does handbrake turns on Booths Garden Centre car park - He doesn't (He wasn't even that immature when he first started driving!)and his Dad wasn't at the game yesterday!

So the only conclusion I can draw from this is that you are talking absolute rubbish or your getting him mixed up with someone else.....

  3. Sorry but my patience has finally snapped, 35 mins at Barrow cries off with a hamstring pull that is revealed to be a dead leg, Told to get on with it, now crying off with another twinge. Supposed to be back tonight, but now said to be out. What is going on with him? If we're in for another season like last year (genuine injuries or not) I say cash in. He's becoming a liability. If it was up to me I'd plan the formation without him.

Chris has a hamstring problem that is preventing him from playing, he is receiving treatment from both the club physio and a Chiropractor.... He and the club knew he wasn't in contention to play tonight, so it came as a surprise to us to read in the Chron that he was looking to come back tonight. The Chron also stated that he came off at Barrow with cramp!! I don't know who (if anyone) the Chron speak to at the club, but the rubbish they print is very damaging to both the players and the club, as unfortunately a lot of people don't know the facts and believe whatever they read! As we all know from reading these boards some people are very quick to crucify our players and the season hasn't even started yet!! I for one would take most things you read in the Chron with a very, very large pinch of salt, as this time (once again) they have got it totally wrong.....................

  4. it is actually a bloke who is freelance and goes to peoples homes etc, he has no reason to lie and he takes an interst in oldham's fortunes, not least because he has a 'link' with taylor.

Neither Chris' Mum or his Girlfriend have their hair cut by a male freelance hairdresser.......

  5. True, but OWTB can do it on the cheap.

    <ChrisTaylorsPsychologist sat at a chair>

    <Chris Taylor lying on couch>

ChrisTaylorsPsychologist: Chris, I want you to talk about what it feelings like if a gentle tackle comes your way

Chris: It hurts so much, it is very sensitive, nad I am writing on the floor in pain and agony.

ChrisTaylorsPsychologist: Pull yourself together, are oyu a man or a mouse. Gett ing flaming grip.

    ChrisTaylorsPsychologist: Lets move on

ChrisTaylorsPsychologist: Now when playing on the wing,w hat are your thought going forward wit the ball

Chris: How those big horrible bullies are going to hack me down and hurt me again

ChrisTaylorsPsychologist: :ranting: Get a grip, run flaming well past them and put a decent cross in man

ChrisTaylorsPsychologist:  OK Chris lets move on

ChrisTaylorsPsychologist: Chris, how does it feel to get beaten

Chris: I dunno, I just go out and get bladdered

    ChrisTaylorsPsychologist: :ranting::ranting: Stop being mardy

    My fee is

I am going to change my username: ChrisTaylorsPsychologist

  6. is he taking the piss? Now I know he's one of our own but he's injured, ill, then injured again. Then he's sighted all round Lees on numerous occasions including by yours truly. So WTF is going on with him?

Something smells fishy and I'm not taking about the contents of the contents of Baldrick's Apple Crumble!

Perhaps 'Shell 18' can inform us, she normally defends her boyfriend at every turn. Time to let us know WTF is going on, if this continues I'd flog him for whatever we can get in January. He's an important, influential player but this constant absence is no use to us.

    Nothing to defend 'oafcprozac'......

Chris did have flu last week and has a Hamstring problem that he's been struggling with for a while now - simple as that, there's nothing sinister going on, he's just had a nightmare season so far!!

Finally Chris isn't my boyfriend he's a member of the family that I see on a daily basis...... Hope you don't mind me putting you straight on that, just don't want you to look silly.....:wink::wink:

  7. so whats wrong with him now?

one thing after another it seems to me?

    Like i said,sick note.

"Sick note" - what utter rubbish..... It's not one thing after another with Chris as you say, he's still suffering with the groin problem that he's had for a while now. Poor lad can't do right for doing wrong, when he's told to play and he's not fit he gets slated, then he gets slated when he doesn't play! I can assure you there is no one more frustrated than Chris at the moment, all he wants to do is to get back to full fitness and help his beloved Oldham get up the table...... I appreciate you must be feeling frustrated at the moment, but believe me so is Chris........

  8. In the early hours of Saturday morning razza699 posted a thread saying Taylor was out with a calf strain, according to one of Taylor’s friends.

    Then this was posted:

    and this discussion:

On Saturday the OS told us that Taylor picked up a calf problem during the Leeds game and failed a late fitness test on Saturday morning.

    http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/NewsU...1582167,00.html

Today the OS told us that Taylor missed the Colchester game with a thigh injury sustained during the Leeds game. It then goes on to say he failed a late fitness test before the Colchester game reporting deep-lying pain in his calf. Earlier today the Physio's diagnosis referred to a deep-lying thigh injury, but that has now been changed to "calf".

    http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/page/NewsU...1583738,00.html

Today's OS report on the "thigh" injury, compared to Saturday's OS report of a "calf" injury was commented on by someone else on here earlier toay, so I haven't imagined it.

    Then today this was posted:

Either Taylor knew already that he had been declared unfit to play on Saturday and therefore could stay out late in the early hours of Saturday morning, or he had a late fitness test on Saturday morning, as reported on the OS. The Club's inconsistency about the nature of Taylor's injury is adding fuel to ziggazagga's fire.

Regardless of the Club being brought into disrepute by what has been reported by the newspapers/radio, the crucial question is did anything happen at Belle Vue to affect the team's performance? If Taylor's injury is found to have been as a direct result of that night out, the consequences may prove to have directly affected the team's performance to such an extent that it has wrecked the Club's chances of promotion.

Time will tell and the disciplinary action will reflect accordingly.

Can I just clarify a few points here. Chris is out with a calf problem from a knock he got at Millwall, he got his scan results back on Friday and knew he wasn't going to be playing on Saturday. As for the ludicrous reports that he has got a broken rib, I just don't know where some people get there information from but it's definately not true.

  9.

I wouldnt eat humble pie if he came on and bagged. I'd still think he was an arrogant :censored: . As for his Floyd Mayweather type Yes Men. They're even more arrogant about Wolfy's prospects than himself.

"wolfy's the future. he'll be in the starting 11 next season." (this was said the summer after the playoffs - where he banged on about his tap in goal against Blackpool as if it was Maradona-esque.)

What a load of sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeitttttttttttte :grin:

Sometimes I can't believe some of the stuff I read on here..... Wolfie is one of the quietest, nicest people at the club He's a really shy lad and is the least arrogant person you will ever meet and he is certainly not surrounded by 'Yes Men'. I know people are entitled to their opinions but I wonder if you've ever met Wolfie because if you had there's no way on earth you would call him arrogant......

  10. I saw Taylor in escoba absolutley smashed. His mate said to me he loves Oldham Loves the attention! he could go Manc and only a handful would recognise him:d

Chris doesn't go in to Oldham for the attention.... He goes because he's with his friends, all of whom are the same friends he went to school with. He is just a normal lad with his feet firmly on the ground and as anyone that knows him will tell you he is definitely not an attention seeker!

  11. Kevin Maher was sat infront of me in the stand.

Lomax rested for Saturday? Was he on the bench? I didnt catch all the subs.

Taylor had a fantastic game at left back. He didnt get forward too much, was constatly covering for Eardley when he went forward and was only caught out of place once or twice. Brilliant for an attacking right footed winger playing left back!

Lomax was injured tonight that's why Chris played Left Back.

  12. What a load of rubbish. On saturday I watched him when we attacked from their corner. He was the closest player to the attackers to bomb on and get forward and help and he sauntered up the pitch. Meanwhile an unfit Jason Jarrett was bombing forward doing what Taylor should have been. Hes a one trick pony and doesnt produce enough for me. Needs telling hes not the best player in the world cos he thinks he is

Can I just point out that Chris was ill on Saturday and had to see the Doctor at the ground, yet he still played and gave it his all.....

There's no way that Chris thinks he is the 'be all and end all' of the team - infact I think that's the most ridiculous comment i've ever read about him! Anyone that knows him will tell you he's the furthest from a 'Big Time Charlie' you could ever meet......

  13. The short corners were all on the right hand side of the goal we were attacking as to a right footer these would be naturally out swingers whereas he tried to whip the ones from the left in to the box as these are naturally in swingers.

I said it at the game but Taylor is probably the best of the bunch at taking corners, I am sure once Liddell was injured and KK left that they had a go in training and Taylor was found to be the best at taking them. There is a world of difference taking a corner at Chapel Rd to one in a competitive game at BP and we should cut him some slack and he will get it right. It sure as hell won't be doing him any good knowing that unless he puts it right on the button all he will hear is groans and "thats crap Taylor", even fully paid up internationals can't put in decent corners 100% of the time.

Well said, couldn't agree more.... Chris is a confidence player and it really does matter to him what the fans think.

Believe me no one knows more than Chris what he needs to do, but abusing him everytime he takes a corner isn't the answer.

He's a young lad, doing as he's told. Cut him a bit of slack , give him a bit of encouragement and HE WILL come good........

  14. Incidents happen between players all the time. As long as it doesn't affect the team's performance, it needn't be an issue. Obviously, whatever has happened must have been a big enough issue for Shez to offload him.

Hope Kyle's allegations in that post about other players aren't well-founded because, if true, they would affect the team's performance.

I know Chris Taylor and know for a fact that the allegations about Ricco lamping him are totally untrue..... So, I would guess that Kyle's allegations about the other players were probably founded in the same vein!

  15. Do you get the distinct impression that everyone is an administrator or a "Super Moderator" on this board?

Except Jet, of course. She's just here for the socks.

And me. I'm the religious adviser.

Today's advice: pray that we win at Orient. ..... Go on now .... Pray ....................

    Have you done it?

Now that wasn't too difficult was it?

    :cardinal:

Not difficult at all........ Although now Taylors found his scoring boots maybe we wont need to pray as much......... could he be the saviour? :)

  16. Hi everyone,

Been reading the boards for a few weeks now and have finally decided to take the plunge as I am desperate to get my hands on a Taylor T-shirt......
