I'm an Oldham fan viewing an OAFC fans forum, why the fook would I want to discuss that prick?

 

He has been great for them, but he is a twisted old :censored: who has scared every referee in our game into submission.

Legend, the greatest manager ever to don the football game. Hope that Simon Corney shows some recognition to this, maybe a minutes appaulse before the first home game of the season would suffice.

On another note, how good would it have been if Royle could have been our own Fergie and taken us to multiple titles and cups, he got so close in the FA Cup but just not close enough, i'd love it to be Royle leaving us as an hero and the greatest manager in the game.

A young hungry manager wanting to learn his new job and become the best in the business at it. Giving the club the uniqueness of the youngest manager in the football league at the same time.

 

If you read his twitter he has quite a few football connections, maybe not the best, but a starting point. If his new job he'll learn to pick up contacts and ultimately have the best contact list in a few years.

 

I don't doubt for a minute he will take us down, this squad is good enough, and he must have something about him to have passed his interview. Scunthorpe are just 2 above us and have one almighty run in. We'll be fine this season.

 

Then it leaves Lee with a fresh summer to get rid of all the rubbish here and bring in a fresh young hungry squad of his own, that we can work with, towards a successful top half finish next season.

 

I'd hope he'll bring in an experienced head beside him, to help him learn his new job role, but he must have something about him to have got the job.

 

Its a fresh new dawn for OAFC and i'm thoroughly looking forward to it.

Killen and Davies are laughable.

Both's goal records are pretty decent. Killen more so when fit.

He'll have that experienced head to help him, all were saying thats what he needed here.

I hope that he is aware of there availablity. Both seemed settled in the North West before now, and with there troubles at there current clubs, both would jump at the oppurtunity of coming here. If the rumours of Smith leaving are true, we would have the space to aquire these and i'd love to see them here.

I hope the club knows about them, although i have sent an email to let them know.

I think if we got these two up front next season and hopefully could get another half decent player like Wellens we'd have half a shout of the play-offs.

I'm sure it was mentioned as being used earlier in the season.

If its been mentioned before surely it isn't unique.

How do you feel/put your point across so that a team that has been seen to have so little motivation all season, is going to be motivated by a 31 year old with no previous experience?

SINGE. Whilst I cannot reply to everyone you should also be aware that my colleagues on the Board like myself have had vast experience at interviewing in this post and in other jobs.

I have chaired interviews that have been carried over a 5 day process and can assure you that the process at Oldham is exhaustive.

 

You are wrong to conclude as you do and can assure you that a number of applicant have been required to carry out a number of interviews during the process.Some of the journeymen I can assure you were not used to the process.
