  1. Just bought a season ticket despite going down my town my team no mater what it’s what true supporters do. Take the rough with the smooth I know it’s rough right now but our team need all the money they can get so chin up man up and let’s bounce back up.

Come on Oldham keep the faith.

  2. :ranting: Well another massive kick in the bollox for us season ticket holders i've already paid in advance when the club want us all to pay(in the summer). What compensation do st holders get? i bet it's not the equivalent to the £15 per match that ive already paid. Why not keep us on tenterhooks with what one. :ranting: i want as compensation 2 pints and 2 pies for my troubles then again they'd only run out of pies. I tell you what i might just hold on geting a season ticket next season and see what latics offer. how about an extra £70 off a season ticket next yr.

  3. Where's the 'I'm fed up with hardy moving us for no reason so :censored: it I'll pay on the day and pick and choose my games' option?

i did this last year after owning a season ticket for about 16yrs i found when it came to the day i didnt bother going to as many as i thorght i would so this season i bought one again.

  5. OWTB today officially served notice to Oldham Athletic to cease operating as the club's official fans' forum.

The decision follows an upgrade to OWTB, which, following diligent efforts by OWTB, the Club, and PTV, has affected OWTB's ability to host the advertising banners which raise money for the club. This has been a frustrating issue for all concerned.

OWTB shall continue to operate as an independent site and, in regaining its independence, OWTB shall endeavour to raise funds through sponsorship, with these to be channeled wholly into community projects associated with the club.

An issue which has been of particular concern to OWTB is increased pressure from the club with regard to site moderation, including objections to some questions raised by fans in what we believe should be a public arena, subject only to minimal moderation. Whilst we understand the club’s interest in moderation, this was something we resisted as it was not a direction that OWTB, as the fans’ forum, felt comfortable with and it does not reflect our agreement with the club. OWTB looks forward to independence of moderation and a new impetus to restore the site to the quality enjoyed by its members in the past. We are all too aware that the site has become somewhat stagnant in recent times and the site staff are excited by the prospect of addressing that and making OWTB a far more enjoyable experience for Oldham Athletic fans.

Terminating the agreement has been a decision which was not taken lightly and we are hopeful that it will be to the benefit of all parties, particularly OWTB members and the community projects we look to support.

Thank you for your continued support of OWTB.

ok so what will the site be known as how will we log on and post messages any info please. It would be good to be part of a lively regular laticminded debate.

  6. We are currently formulating ideas for the new scheme which will allow us to save funds that will help Paul Dickov in his quest to improve his squad. If we can help in some small way towards wages or a loan signing it would be great. We acknowledge those few members who joined the scheme the last time around and hope for their continued support.

Circumstances have changed a great deal since we last appealed to fans and I am hopeful that those who are able will join us.

I am currently looking at a scheme that will cost £1 per week with an incentive to join. As with season tickets we are looking to offer a season ticket when we have reached a particular target point with membership.

We are also looking at a monthly prize, not particularly cash, but something worthwhile. I would hope thast by January we would have sufficient funds to help the manager .

Things are fairly flexible at the moment and I have started the thread to give everyone the chance to come forward with any ideas we can consider.

    Hope you can help.

    Barry

    ok
