PS said “it only happened once to be fair” which may have been in relation to Hunt... but he did play Hunt so he obviously ignored it.

PS primarily left because he couldn’t cope with the environment (not having Prem standard facilities) and because he wasn’t very good.

    PW said it never happened.

Thats all I’ve ever heard about it, so I’ll take it as correct.

Believe what you will, what was said in public and said in private are two different things, and yes I've seen the evidence which is 100% cast iron of interference during his first stint.

Let alone offering Benteke a new deal, carting his Captain and removing his ability to choose who was retained.

Believe who you like and what you like, I'll believe the truth.

Nonsense. If it's deliberate then maybe but Roy (to my knowledge when listening) has never deliberately done that and you're out of order for suggesting it.

I've mixed up some of our white players before now. Guess that makes me one too 🙄

Somebody mixed up Missilou and Lang on Saturday at Macc. I genuinely am not making that up.

Even without a source, Financial Fair Play means there can’t be much left in the playing budget. We’ve signed three players who weren’t chosen by a new manager and can’t move other players on due to injury (Fane, Gardner, Coke). I’m not saying they’re on megabucks contracts but scant imagine there’s much leeway in the wage bill.

Cup money likely going on unpaid HMRC

You forgot Robert Hunt & Samuel Edmundson

And who would be surprised if Scholes has sought assurances only to be let down by AL?

Like I said yesterday fucking off to Dubai leaving hardly a semblance of a coaching/managerial team in place and replacing our best players with ones who at the very least are going to need time is a joke, he's embarrassing the club and the situation is becoming a farce, it should of been dealt with and put to bed a week ago either way but no we just can't operate in a normal professional fashion can we.

Meanwhile anyone who questions the chancer and the way he operates is out on their ear, pisses me right off.

    Slowly, slowly.

    Just not needed, mate.

It's a pity you don't know just how much work he does, and has done for donkey's years, at the club and receives not a penny piece. He's one of life's true gentlemen as well.

Disrespectful comments like yours really get up my bugle.

    Good guy.

Looked at me like I had shat on his lawn when I parked in the assistant managers space last week to buy a ticket.

Fair points on DG. That said there was plenty of things in there I thought he did really well that you and many other fail to mention/ notice. He won loads of second balls and I also thought his distribution was much improved.

However I agree with the other lad sitting he has to get himself in the opposition box.

Yeah, I'll give you the second ball stuff. Was a refreshing change for us

    Lots of positives.

Gardner quality again, Lyden looked calm on the ball and cleaned up well. Virtually a full game in Miller. Just need to be more clinical.

    Points will come.

I'd love to know how he can be justified as quality? At least twice he got tangled with the referee, potentially once wasn't his fault.

He pulled out of challenges on at least three occasions right in front of our following.

Played floating balls far too heavy that even Usain Bolt wouldn't catch and gave the ball away at least ten times.

Lyden did a great job of sitting so Gardner could express himself more.

Sure he worked pretty hard and put himself about but quality was definitely lacking from everyone including DG last night

Excellent all round performance by the team. Only thing lacking is the bloody goals!!

Should have scored at least 4

Their keeper was motm with some brilliant saves.

We had a solid defence which restricted any attempts at goal.

Our  wingers actually put some decent crosses in. Miller edged it for me as our motm

Feels like a loss but all credit to the team who did everything but score.

    Badly missing Surridge.

Few points, our wingers are horrific and part of the problem.

Miller MOM are you on drugs? He had at least three opportunities to square/ lay the ball off for a team mate to tap and spurned them all.

As for Surridge, we can't rely on one player, and that falls firmly on Bunn for his shit recruitment.

    A third of a season ?

If only we’d sacked Royle when he took us from 7th in his first season to 19th in his second. We could have avoided the inconvenience of a League Cup final, 4 FA Cup semi final games and winning the second division in the last minute of the season and been where we are now years ago.

Nothing like living in the past ?

Fuckin brilliant ! Surely means he’s staying don’t we think ?

Probably not, if we are prone to paying wages late I can't envisage us spaffing the cash to land somebody like him.

The investment is allegedly still not completed. Not sure the rules on whoever is taking over giving us the money without actually being in control.

    Mr Corney, and associates.

As fans of Oldham Athletic, we want nothing more than the club to be the best it can possibly be at any given time. We understand the club works within tight constraints off the pitch, and this often has an adverse affect on it, but every now and then there comes a time when you - As custodians of the club - can make a decision that is the overwhelming first choice of the majority, while at the same time won't jepodise the clubs future financially.

Over the last 4 games Ritchie Wellens has galvanised this squad into a team that has the potential to not only be one of the best Oldham teams seen in years, but one that could actually challenge this season. The fans are absolutely loving not only the results but the performances to go with it. In him we believe we have a winner.

We are not blind enough to think this can continue. There may be troubled times ahead, but when you are winning why upset the apple cart with an outside appointment? Recent media reports have suggested big name appointments, but the fans simply want to see good attacking winning football which we have seen in abundance under the current manager. There is no guarantee any outside appointment will match that no matter how big the name.

I write this to ask you to make the sensible decision and make the current caretaker manager permanent as soon as is viable. Clearly there are goings on behind the scenes that us as fans do not know about, but all involved want the best for the club and it would seem folly at the current time not to give the job to Ritchie Wellens.

We await your decision, but know it will be one that has the best interests of the club at heart, and one that will bring solid foundations to the club going forward.

    Richie FFS.
