  1. The account has disappeared... Seems odd, as you say the fella from talkSport confirmed his identity.

Not entirely convinced its roger from what

    we

got but not unconvinced either. I tweeted with my profile picture of me and the real roger taken at the junction a couple of months ago last night and it was re tweeted by 'roger' shortly before his account seemed to have been terminated or gone private. Hard to say from the snippet we got. Great if it is....

  2. Penalty? Definitely.A HUGE shove.

There is a lot wrong out there at the moment. Simpson and Kuqi are not working well together. Either give Kuqi someone he can get flick ons off e.g. Smith or put him on the bench next game. The number of long balls delivered up to him that their centre half soaked up was ridiculous. Smith is slower than a slow thing goin at a snails pace but he is a big unit and might support Kuqi better than Simpson who is an individual who creates his own chances. How many games now for Kuqi without a goal? Twelve? Lets change something cos not many other centre forwards would get this support. If Dickov is going to back him to the hilt, fine, but ne needs help up there.

In the absence of Furman/Weslowski why not stick simpson in midfield with Adayemi? Taylor didnt work out tonight there so why not try it?

Finally on Dickov. No he shouldnt be booted out. That's ridiculous but things could be done better. I would argue he is trying to keep his best players in the team even if they are out of position but from his point of view i see why. I woiuld like to see him be bold. We are heading for mid-table obscurity again so try Simpson in midfield and either drop Kuqi or support him with a front man that complements him! :ranting:

  3. When we used to play Preston regularly in late 90s Gregan was immense-you could not get past him and we hated him for it.He's older and slower than he was but aren't we all? He is is a good player who is entitled to off-days and mistakes. We might not like it or expect it, but name a player who never had a bad patch. I can't remember one. Gregan is still more than good enough for this division. I won't start ripping apart the guy just yet.

  4. Edwards stood out by some distance for me at Blackpool. Warney has put in enough effort for two men, but if we are going to get up there next season we desperately need a finisher. I hope Wolfy can get a decent run out this time and Shez can pick up a bargain somewhere-the jury remains out on Glombard for me; a bit more effort (in the mould of Warne) allied with a more clinical finish might convince me...

  5. Superb fella. When I was a kid for a season or two (about 85/86-86/87) I used to stand up in the tunnel of the main stand in St. Johns Ambulance (free admission for 12 year olds!). Joe always had a friendly word or a ruffle of the hair as he walked past. Probably had a hundred and one better things to do but took the time to say hello to a kid.

Great manager (his achievements and the entertainment he gave us along the way say it all) and all round good bloke.

  6. Anthony

    Oldham

Going to Bp for over 20 years

Soft spot for the win at Wigan which took away their unbeaten record that season in 2000-I just knew we would and Dux gave us a 1-0 victory with his head. Also think a little further back to Neil Adams inspired comeback for a point at Everton in the 92/93 season coming from 2-0 down.

Tricky Holden the wizard on the wing

    Man City-don't get me started.....
