I was going to ask how Cisak was going, but then I found this on youtube.

Why would he need replacing?

This is very interesting. We had Dean for a half season and he had a good cup run but was unfortunately inconsistent in League games. Good stopper and communicator but flapped in the air and distribution let him down. The murmorings about his release from Liverpool were to do with attitude. Most Accy fans regard Cisak as our best keeper ever and we were gutted to lose him. Nonetheless dean would be ok as a #2.

Not usually no smoke without fire......I heard yesterday that the new ‘Keeper lined up was someone our management team had worked with before, so they know what they are getting. Makes sense if it is Cissak; as Taggart will have managed him in the reserves at Leicester.

 

The Australia call-ups are a worry TBH, as it’ll disrupt his season and make it difficult to maintain a run of form.

 

Its always interesting to get the vibe(s) from the fans of the players previous club – and granted its only 1 on here; but he/she seems to rate highly and is disappointed he appears to be leaving. IIRC when we signed Brill; Luton fans were really rather pleased he was going; which i think spoke volumes........

Heard similar…any good? Did he play against us in the Cup last season?

think bavs played in the cup tie. he kept 10 or more clean sheets in the last 18 games and won league 2 player of the month in march. I think was at leicester city when their youth team won everything. super keeper wish we cuould have kept him.

not really worth getting to be honest. I personally would go for Iain Turner.

cisaks a done deal from what Ive heard today. Great signing for you guys. He will be missed at the Crowne and will become a great keeper.

Problem with Cisak is he is invloved in the Aussie Olympic qualification so would be away often for games.

qualifiers are all non fifa dates so club can say no

you'd be up for some compo as he's under 24 but couldn't see it being a lot as he only played 25 games for us. having said that the 25 he did play he were fantastic. is a great shot stopper and very commanding off his line. weakness would be his inexperience, but he cleared most hurdles for us.

Hi - Accrington fan in peace. Have heard word from around the club that Oldham have come in for our keeper cisak. We were hoping to keep hold of him as he was a big part of our promotion push last season. Does anyone know any more about this one?
