What’s the point in building a hotel when there’s a premier inn a hundred yards away. Surely that money would be better spent on another leisure facility. 

I don't know if it's possible or been suggested before but could we not use the old club shop?

Maybe I made a mistake in calling Baxter a striker. He's an attacking player and I've always labelled attacking players as strikers. Lets be honest if I'd come on last week and said oh there's a chance we could bring Jose back i would've been lynched. Instead I opted to do it a different way I said it was a name that would get fans giddy as Baxter would, a player that could help us reach the top six again as Baxter would. 

I did post that i expected it would be in the chron in the days following my post and a few days later the chron' s headline was 'Jose latics link'. This sparked the excitement on social media as I knew it would and said it would. I don't use this message board everyday and haven't been on since I posted it. I did think that after the chron article people would think that this was the exciting forward I was talking about, but I take responsibility for that as I've always labelled Baxter as a striker so I can see where the confusion has come from. Anyway I'm taking people's advice and shutting up, Here's to a great season.

I don't think you'll all have to wait long I'd imagine it'll be in the chron/revealed by Alan Nixon before you know it.  I gave my word to someone at the club that I wouldn't reveal his name and I intend to keep my word, the fear is that if word gets out a bigger club will come in for him. I'm sorry for not saying more, I know it's a pain when someone posts they know something and doesn't reveal it, but I genuinely wanted to let you all know the calibre of striker we are looking at. It finally feels like good times are round the corner. Up the tics.

If and it's a big if, this striker does sign for us I think a fair few will be lumping on us to finish top six. I'm not getting too excited yet because this is latics and it will probably collapse when he's due to sign. I'm actually amazed that his name hasn't got out, but that's probably a good thing as we'd all get giddy only for it to end in disappointment.

Isn't Macken working for the club now? I'm fairly sure he's the under 15s/16s coach. Give mendi/roylearmy his due he always said he'd join us, turns out he just started the rumour 10 years too early.

Wellens has been offered the role of first team coach by corney, he told me so himself. Although I have to admit he didn't seem to upbeat about it and just said he was thinking about it. I Would like to think that shez will be allowed to bring in his own assistant next season, if it is Tommy Wright then so be it.  Hopefully the familiarity will bring success.
