  1. kings no one is saying your brother (I'm sure I've seen you mention he's your brother) is completely useless but he is a liability at times. He snaps to easy that's one of his problems if he takes a little knock of someone he lashes out like he did today and lets be honest he isnt the biggest of lads but acts like hes the size of big jean. He can't be doing that or he will end up getting more red cards like pompy away last year. Another problem with Connor is he tends to lose it and dives in completely missing to ball and taking his man like he did a few times today. Defending he isn't the worst and has the ability to become decent it's going forward were he needs abit of work especially with crossing which has come on abit from last year. If he learns to stop acting like billy big bollocks and works on his attacking he could become a decent player as I personally don't think he's to bad defending. Would I be looking to bring in a new rb if budget allowed? Yeah personally I would just because of him been a liability at time and at the moment if he gets sent of we're :censored:ed no replacement. Maybe I'm been a bit harsh on your brother kings but thi is just how I feel about him at the moment. Hes maybe had it hard because we are comparing him to Kieran lee but then again maybe Connor has the potential to be as good as he's only 19 ( I may be wrong ) but time will tell. So that's my opinion on Connor not sure if everyone else will agree with me tho kings

No problem with opinions like this fair play although some do think he is utterly useless and put that on here. Don't agree he's liability as one red in a season isn't a bad record but yes needs to be careful on the tackles. Think be wise to have another rb anyway for competition and as you say cover. Cheers

  2. Nope. I applauded when he did well, but he should have been sent off 1st half for an outrageous tackle.

    He's still a weak link.

    And :censored:.

You never give him full credit if he does well you always follow it up with this rubbish about weak link and teams target him with no real facts to your opinion.

He defends well and very rarely gets beat by his winger or concedes goals from poor defending. Fair enough still has areas for impeovement like all the back four but he isnt the weakest link in that defence. you obviously don't like him but change your tune its boring now.

  3. Very good defender....just no abilty going forward

But he did well today and has for several weeks.

Thing is that was what he was known for as youngster his forward play. There is more to see of that part of his game. He has been under instructions from TP to sit rather than bomb on.

    Needs to improve his crossing.

  4. baines and pienaar v croft and brown.......were going to get :censored:ed.

I don't think it would be any reflection on these two if they get terrorised. Baines and pienarr destroy the best of the prem week in week out. I don't think there is anybody in the squad who you would feel totally confident in stopping them

  5. Must have watched a completely different game to all ob this thread. I thought he was poor. Got slightly better as the 1st half grew: but was a little boy lost after Croft went off and we went 4-5-1.

I'm worried. I didnt think Wabara warranted the praise he got; but feck me - i'd have him back in a flash. Weakest link on the park today by a mile.

You definately watched a different game today. Brown played a simple game but was effective completely nullified his winger who produced nothing compare that to grounds who on number of occasions got run ragged by the right winger although he was a good player.

The croft change left him with two on one for a good 20mins at least as tp went to a diamond midfield and their left back and midfielder was pushing on but he still did his job.

He was asked not to bomb on today but in time with more games his forward play will come. After last week deserves the praise. Nervous start but solid game.

  6.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Brown, he's done well on the occasions I've seen him play but I'm not expecting him to be very consistent just yet. He's still only 19 and hasn't had a full professional season yet.

He's actually not long turned 21 but yes it's his first pro year. If he's given the chance to have a good run of say 10 consecutive games and not dropped if he makes couple if mistakes he will come good.

  7. It's all about personal opinion really. Wabara is an England youth international and cost in region of £1-1.5m from his previous club and has been coached by probably some of best staff in today's football and if course Dickov thinks he is better than brown.

He has one edge at moment for me which is true athleticism (pace and power) and that will take him to much higher level.

However if you evaluate rest of his game I personally don't think he is better 'defender'. He is all right foot, brown can play with either. Brown hardly let's any crosses get in from his side and has never been run ragged from a left winger, wabara definately gets caught out more but obviously he has played more matches so will be interesting to see how brown settles in with a run.

I hope they both do well with their future they are sure good enough for league one.

  8.

unfortunatly IMO when Brown plays a number of games in row and is actually given the chance to make the full back position his own we will find ourselves with a problem in that position....hope im wrong would love the lad to make the job his own but cant see it

Is that a hunch or an opinion based on his performances so far? Surely not the latter. He's got better with every game. Yes he will make mistakes but remember this is his first season in pro football he's definately shown he can play at this level
