  1. What was dissapointing today was how narrow we were.

We started with a 4-4-1-1 but neither reid or simpson are natrual wingers and kept coming inside. Sometimes wingers do have to come inside to look for the ball but they we needed an out ball which crowded out Baxter and meant we couldn't stretch the play. We missed Lee Croft today he provides that outball for us and allows us to stretch the play. The lack of width contributed to the second goal their was no option on so connor brown pushed forward to try and create the width the ball got intercepted and got placed in the gap where he would have been. I hope Johnsons learnt a few things from today we've got lucky that Scunthorpe got beat but we can't throw away games like that because Carlisle didn't really do much to beat us granted both goals they scored were peaches but apart from that they didn't have to do alot to get the win.

it might have seemed as if he started 4-4-1-1 but the players made it look as though it was 4-5-1 and the midfield was being pissed on,ok he changed it half time but by then the damage had been done,if its going to go down to us going down 2 nil then change it then we are :censored:ed

  2. Perhaps our pampered superstars could let us know on social media pre game whether or not they will be turning up or not Tuesday night , so we can do the same.

Doubt any new fans who spent time & money being taken for mugs by this lot yesterday will rush home from work for more of the same.

why should they bother about what type of performance they put in because the majority of them wont be here next season
  3. The thing is, with a team comprised of loan players and players that will not be here next season, the writing is on the wall. Whoever comes in now, will be managing a League Two side next season. Corney has left it too late.

totally agree with you corney has shown his true colours,he should have appointed a new manager the week after paul resigned, but hes shown how much a coward and bull:censored:ter he really is.im sorry but hes not the messiah a lot of people think he is
  4. We're in the :censored:, sure. There's a big chance we'll go down, but surely fans need to get behind the team so we're not playing Barnet next season?

That performance was horrible today, but the fans didn't help! Groaning on every mistake doesn't help a young team in the :censored:!

The players might not look like they're up for the fight, but if the fans aren't then whats the point? If we get behind the team, then they might start playing. The fans were as bad as the players today, need to get behind them on Tuesday to stand a chance of getting out of this mess!

when the players start giving the fans something to shout and believe in then they might get the support, but after todays utter crap what do they expect, the only thing to look forward to after that diabolical showing is relegation and i hope they are happy for that
  5. I have realised I watch a lot of La Liga (a welcome break from the manure driven prem league)

I am trying to decide what team to follow, can anyone give me any strenuous links from Latics to a La Liga side?

    Thanks for your help

if you need any help in looking for a team to support in spain look no further than malaga, they have a big following of expats at their games, they are called the guiriarmy and have their own part of the ground at la roselada,i lived just outside malaga for four years and still support them
  6. if your opinion was of a squad that you watched in the last 40 years or of one of the squads you saw with your season ticket then I would take your then qualified opinion into account.

    But....

You obviously saw us beat Liverpool last week and decided to watch today based on that result but as you yourself stated, you had not been to a game in the last 2 years, which means you have not seen Baxter play on a regular basis or you cant tell how Wes did at Scunny or Furman in the first ten games of the season or how much Smith has improved or Cisak...............i could go on but you get the point

so your judgment off THIS team getting relegated THIS season is based on Liverpool and today at Walsall

So no disrepected intended But hey ho

i can understand where he is coming from,i am a season ticket holder i didnt go today and i cant get to a lot of away games due to working on sat mornings, but given the choice this season i would rather work than throw money away on a bad day out,and before you say have i done this season, yes i have,i went to carlisle on a tues night and watched a totally pathetic team put in a crap performance, and having been to every home game this season the only outcome i can see is relegation unless corney grows a sackfull of balls and gets rid of pd, but hey ho obviously your happy with that
  7. I hope the discussion includes the possibility of allocating Everton the Chaddy End. That would give Everton a stand make it easier to police and allow 7000 Latics fans to watch the game. Plus there isn't a bar in the Chaddy.

I know it won't be the most popular decision with those who have a season ticket in the Chaddy but IMHO it will be more popular than having 40% of the ground supporting Everton.

i totally agree its a home game,so the advantage should be ours,if the club wants to keep the feelgood factor that the liverpool gave us they need to to put latics fans first not as in other games where the away fans have been put first, lets make latics fans feel needed
  8. Latics players commentators said he was quiet, that's not what's needed in a relegation battle.

Would it be unthinkable to drop him against Yoevil, replacing him with probably a more solid Paul Murray ?

I stand by for a barrage,

not unthinkable at all since he signed full time he's not played to his full capacity
