  1. That is precisely why I posted that the club really needs to publicise their policy and consider what agreements with partner businesses they may be able to arrange.

If crowds increase next year; then in the locality the official car park has reduced in size, Westhulme Avenue is off limits, the Hospital Scanner block has further reduced parking space and the local streets are now all permit only. And the club has built on the Clayton Arms site.. in short it is really is a bit of a disaster.

  2. It would be nice if the club researched and clearly reported where both home and visiting fans can park this year.

How many spaces will be available from day 1?

Once the new stand is finished, how many parking spaces will be available for pay on the day fans?

Will the new car park only be available for box owners?

Where will everyone else park? I think that Westhulme Avenue at the side of B&Q is now closed.

Are the club entering into any agreement to park on B&Q if not they should do.

The local NIMBYs have more or less prevented any local parking. All adds up to a bit of a nightmare.

Going back there were football special buses.. perhaps something similar is needed. A remote car parking area and regular buses to and from the ground.

  3. Paw4- big diff from those you mention and Kelky is experience. Nearly all were full internationals with loss of top class games under their belt. Frizz was a long term Latics player. Johnson had a fine pedigree. Kelly has had precious little playing experience and only managed U9 team for a few months. Nowt wrong with inexperienced managers as long as they have earned respect by virtue of their careers.
