  1. The TOWN may have, b  but not the club unfortunately.

That's why i really believe that local junior, amateur, semi pro football teams should be affiliated to their towns professional club but that's another discussion...better with lots of ale and the right company  and also we do not have a forward thinking FA in this country and therefore any such proposal would be completely 'black-balled', due to an immediate greed of seeing lots of global names on our television screens, playing for ALL top premgreed clubs.

Am I ranting? Too Feckin' right!

I think youve had too many red wines you pal!!!!!

  2. Yes, but the shop have no pink scarves left a new deilvery is expected on Tuesday, as usual piss up at brewery and all that

lol. funny as f@@@ that. Whos going to want a pink scarf on Tuesday. They will be giving

them away come this time next week. Maybe they might play in pink again to gt them sold??.

    The play off final perhaps??????

  3. I agree with the live music venues and they are really refreshing, rather than the 'timebomb pubs' that are down yorkshire street (though not all)

    - places like the hark to topper, Shakespere, Boltmakers are cracking, proper pubs, rough maybe, but somewhere you can have a beer without the fear of some young, drugged up numpty wanting to bottle you because he believes you've been gawping at his lasses baps, even though they're hanging out over her belly button....

as for the candlelight, you''re spot on about not changing - 'grab a granny' has been all too evident for years there.

Now theres a man talking from experience!!!!!????!!!!!!

  4. I read a topic on another website this morning about going in the home section at away games. It reminded me of a match verses Cardiff in the 76/77 season I think. A mate and I got talking to some Cardiff fans in the Spinners before the game. We got on really well and they suggested we go in the RRE with them for the game. Being young and foolish (and after several beer we agreed). Walking to the ground with them we got attacked by some Latics fans but that didn’t put us off. Latics won 2-0 and my mate and I both went mad when Latics scored. We got some funny looks from the Welshmen but survived intact. We must have been mad. Has anyone else done anything similarly foolish?

I remember my junior latics days. We used to always sit with the away fans. 1 that sticks in my head was away at Shrewsbury. We were 2-0 down at half time and they were given us some stick.

Anyway a certain Glenn Keeley was pushed up front in the 2nd half, Roger palmer scored 2 goals to make it 2-2, then we got a penalty and Tony Henry ballooned the ball into the away fans. With around 5 minutes left Roger palmer picked the ball up on the half way line beat 2 men and slotted the ball home to make it 2-3. There were about 50 odd kids jumping up and down with 2 fingers up at the home fans- I think the local constabulary found it amusing too!!!!!!

  5. Wasnt impressed with Davies but i have to remember its only his 2nd league start.

O'Grady was much better today. Best performance so far IMO

O grady was sent on to do a job though!! Hold the ball up to take pressure of our defenders.

If we had of been behind and needed him to score a goal would it have been his best performance???.

Taylor will score more goals than him this season..

  6. Iam editing this post as requested by one of the mods to hold my head in shame. I thought we would win 4-0 but unfortunately due to bad defending we gave the points away to an averave Oldham team.

Oldham need as many points as they can get to try and scrape 6th spot and iam glad that Leeds United helped getting them 3 towards their 65-70 total for the season.

Im sure Leeds same 4 defenders who were the second strongest in the league last season get a telling off and iam also sure they wont play as bad like that again.

Apology accepted, now go and be a good boy and humour them on the yeovil board ( your

next opponents if you dont know)?????

You are being a little bit too cocky at this early stage in the season.

Come back on here when you have got something to shout about.
