  1. What do you expect when the board try and pass off making Holden the manager as some sort of masterstroke?

The fans have voted with their feet and I hope they continue to do so to show the board how they've :censored:ed up our season.

I wouldn't allow any of them to run my bath let alone run a football club.

Corney has given up. The new stand is being built; it's an asset that will only appreciate in value until they sell that and the ground to recoup as much as their expenditure as possible. The club on the other hand is a millstone; one that he wants rid of and one that he's not prepared to put any more money into. The final nail was letting that buffoon back onto the board - if the answer is Barry Owen then I :censored:ing dread the question!

Agree 100%. A few soundbites on BBC Manchester by Simon Corney aint good enough.

  2. I directly messaged Corney, a message which he heard before Port Vale away, telling him we need a manager immediately.

Nothing has happened. Why bother now? As Dec says, we're more likely to go down than up but neither are probable.

Even when Johnson left we had a chance to pick ourselves up with a new appointment and have a resurgence. Instead we've sat on our hands, 'not rushed' and let this negativity continue. We're now a mile from the play offs and going to finish bottom half. The reason people want a new manager is because they're looking over their shoulder. How things have changed.

  3. From Barnsley website

    "

A small number of candidates were interviewed and Lee Johnson was selected as significantly the best of these. He met the selection criteria established and also produced a specific plan for Barnsley Football Club for his first 100 days in charge. This included a playing strategy, specific tactics, identified current weaknesses and credible recruitment targets to strengthen our team."

So Johnson really put a lot of effort into getting the job...not dragged to the altar was he!
